What happened to the "Vanilla Experiment"?

I would really like to see the data from the experiment. I myself have played Survivor and Killer without perks/addons a few times already. On the Survivor side it's not a problem at all. Sure, it's harder. But at the end of the day the matches were mostly relaxed. On the killer side... you prefer to play with perks. You definetly can play some killers without perks (like Freddy, Nurse and Spirit), but don't expect too much. A half decent group will probably beat you. Whatever.

Was the data published anywhere?

This is a very good question and I agree, mate. Really disappointing, that the devs gave still no feedback :/

I was in one of those experiments. I was required to run no perks, completely no items (excluding those found in chest, you just had to unequip them after the trial).

They gave us the key learnings, particularly, the following:

    • Playing vanilla is a lot of fun!
    • Interest for such event is tremendous.
    • Upcoming experiments will be better organised 😊.

While these don’t provide very satisfactory answers, this was emailed directly to me around a few days after the experiment. No more particular data from that. The concept of complete vanilla (as in NOBODY run perks addons, offerings, or items) was actually a lot of fun for me.

This is just my experiment from the second experiment (which was, really the first as the original had some sort of issue), and this data was recorded in July of last year. I don’t know much else, this was all they informed me off.

EDIT: Sorry if this wasn’t the direct answer you all were looking for. This is the most info I could provide. (Not to say I’m at liberty to be silent about stats, but I literally don’t know anything else).
