The REAL facecamp is back!
So I went against a Huntress, she got mad at me and facecamped me the entire time. The thing is: noone was able to unhook me. It was like 2016, when the killer blocked the unhook attempt. This Huntress was standing lightly offset and noone was able to grab me from any angle. 2 survivors tried and couldn't it. I asked them what happened and they told me they couldn't unhook.
Side note: When the killer was standing a little bit away one mate was able to fake unhook, but after she came close it was working anymore.

Sounds like a bug to me. If you have video of it, I'd send it as a bug report.

Not this type of camping. They specifically added swivel unhooks to make legitimate facecamping impossible.
Also, sometimes the killer doesn't even need to actually facecamp...I had a Nurse game on Hawkins where I couldn't unhook a teammate and she was carrying someone else away. Just...no prompt.

That's why I waste a perk slot using Kindred. Wish I didn't have to but I get some satisfaction when I start seeing gens poppin' while the killer just stands there while I hang.

I really wish it becoming basekit already. Swf has it already for free and can punish a camping killer hard. But Survivors without kindred get punished by the camping killer. Really unfair :/

Same thing happened when I went against a wraith yesterday. I was able to get around him and fake an unhook, trying to get him to hit me, but he didn't swing and instead got in position to where the unhook prompt didn't show up and the survivor died.

So, there's a difference in mindset between those two claims, even when made by the same person.
Gen rushing is an issue because of the asymmetrical nature of the game. It's not even the survivors fault. It's an issue at a game level. Gens take too long, it's the only objective, and you can only chase one person at a time. The issue gets worse with the speed buffs of toolboxes with and without addons. Most killers recognize that it's a game issue and not really the survivors at fault. When they complain about it, it's not in vain of the survivors. It's in vain of the game's balance flaw.
Camping is different in that it IS a viable tactic; except, it's only a viable tactic if the survivors allow it to be one.

Except that gen rushing isn’t an issue at all as there are ways to slow them down, wether it be via pure gen pressure or perks and add ons. At which point survivors have to get smart because their main objective can be stalled until they are dead.
If you find gen rushing flawed but still think face camping was just “part of the game as it is a tactic” then I find hypocrisy in that.
Because what you are telling me is that you want the game slowed down for your convenience to kill faster... but still be able to face camp (again ) for your convenience to kill faster.

Correction - there is not always a way. You can only chase one person at a time, survivors spawn next to ruin, and slow down addons etc. are getting nerfed every other patch. Gen speed has been a problem for a while. Even the devs have touched on it in their streams. Why do you think BNP's were nerfed?
As for camping - it's not hypocrisy. The original DBD "How to play killer" videos literally show the survivor being camped as the optimal way to play. Clearly you've never been to red rank in killer. Do that (and don't just say you have, actually do it or prove it), and get back to me with a valid opinion.

imo face camping just defeates any sort of skill in this game. thus why i cant take it seriously sometimes. now this -_-

So the same could be said for the survivor side... spawning on a map you can’t use Balanced, exhaustion add ons that completely take away a whole perk.. etc.
Regardless of the variables that exist that benefit one side or the other, The fact is that there are ways to play around it.
I don’t need to validate my opinion simply because it’s different than yours. I find it very funny though, that you say camping is a tactic and yet camping is only countered by the very thing you find an issue with... gen rushing.
Go ahead and continue to spread your biased opinion.

It's always some Wraith in my case
@OP Since the Oni patch I noticed that I can't unhook from the side. Need to be more in front of the hook to get the unhook action
