Rift Spine Chill challenge change??

Greetings, everyone. Hope your day has been well. I've been attempting to do the spine chill 3rd rift challenge. I was just thinking while playing what if the challenge was altered. Like, instead of escaping with out being hooked with spine chill maybe just general escape while using the perk spin chill. Not getting hooked in a match is pretty difficult unless your like Ultra spicy player and super stealthy. It's just a thought I wanted to throw out there and get opinions on.

I got it first try as well, just play a bit stealthier.

They've already changed a few. In my opinion challenges should have a certain difficulty... otherwise they wouldn't be "challenges" you know. The most of them are already insanely easy to do.

I would honestly like to see more specific tasks. So far we only got trapper challenges. Of course not every player has every killer, but they should do something different next season.

Well, we only got trapper challenges because this is the trapper tome.

  • This is true, just was a thought I almost had it one game but Plague got me good there. So rip that, but you all make valid points. :) I'll keep trying to get it done. Also, what challenges are you guys on or are you guys finished with the rift?

This is the trapper tome? Really? Didn't know that they said that. Or does it even show in the rift?

The only problem with this challenge is not the difficulty, in my opinion, but simply the fact that the completion condition is something you can fail so early in the game, so it encourages players to give up and kill themselves on first hook.

Yep, each Tome is themed around one killer and one survivor. That's why we've been getting challenges to play as the Trapper or Claudette, or meet certain conditions using their unique perks. This is reflected in the lore fragments we unlock through the challenges, which tell parts of the Trapper's and Claudette's backstories, as well as the cosmetics (the charms in particular) found in the Rift. Next Tome with focus on a different killer and survivor, with lore, challenges and cosmetics to match.

Be a nuisance and bring a key and just hop from locker to locker all game until everyone is dead.

To do this challenge my build was stealthy like iron will, fixated, spine chill and dead hard (you can change this one) And bring a key if you want.

You could play in a full SWF group. When I play in a full group, we often have good games where somebody doesn't get hooked the entire game. If you can play coordinately, you can just do the gens while the others do the riskier things.

I always run (wildcard perk, in this case spine chill) borrowed, self care and a detection perk (usually alert but can go empathy bond kindred w/e)

Doing that build I just played as a gen jockey, opened the doors and left. Even if you can take a smack run out away from everything to be unappealing to chase and self care. It'll come. I believe in you!

If going full stealth and looking for the hatch, perhaps Left Behind may be of assistance?
