A brilliant idea that solves ALL the problems with the game
What if we just rename "Survive with friends" to "Causal"? And we remove rankings from the brand new causal mode? Isnt that fantastic? That way you could play with your friends without any suggested nerfs, you could still have fun and solo expirence would be more fair.
Give me your pros and cons !!! Mostly pros. But it really does solve everything imho :D (then we should also nerf toolboxes but thats for another thread)
Im not a killer main and Yes I also play with friends sometimes.

In a way, yes :D But it still has ranks. So at least that way you would have two game modes to choose from. Thats another problem solved because people crave for a second game mode :D

But what do they get in casual compared to ranked?
If it's less than ranked why would solo or killers play it?
If it's the same why would killers choose to play versus mostly swf?
All I see this doing in theory is increasing killer playing ranked and swf matchmaking times.

Seriously, all these threads trying to make a separate queue for SWF are just dumb. Please stop.
If you think lobby times are shite now, you'll be waiting forever if you separated SWF from the rest of the player base.
SWF is not OP and nothing is wrong with it. Most of the time, I'm the rank 1 playing with my trash friends who get killer in like 3 minutes. We're just there to have fun

I dont think thats completely true. It depends probably on where you are. Its a paradox but I have noticed that my queue times are lower when less people play the game. And I am not the only one.
And there are some other games with less players which have more game modes. Take Rocket League for example. 8 or 10 game modes, most of them have like 1 000 players online or even less and it pairs you up pretty quickly. And there are even more ranks. So numbers of players cant be the only issue..theres something inherently wrong with the matchmaking in this game.

Oh but you also prove my point here. Im not against swf in any way and if you play with your friends mostly for fun then you for sure dont need to be ranked. Am I right? I just think that tryhards SWF are the ones destroying the balance and they just shouldnt be ranked. Thats all. But I dont speak about how many of them are actually in the game because thats not the point.

Thats just an assumption. Why would they never play Causal? I think a lot of solo survivors would also play. Just to have fun, just to test combos and so on..and thats also true for the killers. And if I meet tryhards in Causal theres at least no need to be angry because you wont loose any progress. I would play it as a Killer and I think more people think like me.

What do you mean? How would it force killers to face swfs? I think there would be also a lot of solos and swfs who play just for fun in Causal mode. And we could also allow 2 men/women swfs to play Ranked mode. I dont think that would be an issue. So that way Causal would be strictly only for 3 or 4 men/women swfs + for everyone else who want to just have fun or test things.

This would be a good idea, why not make it so that you could get the killer in your friend group aswell, why not? When you communicate with he killer it would make it even more fun with friends the amount of trashtalk would be hilarious. I would do that right away if possible with any survivors.

SWF is part of the game and will never go away. People have to accept this, or, as you mentioned, stop playing.
Especially because SWF does not mean highly-optimal Squad. And Killers are way too often assuming they are facing an SWF. I mean, it is easy to say "I lost because you were SWF" and hard to say "I lost because I am not as good as I think I am". Like, when I was still watching tru3, he and his chat assumed SWF (or even toxic SWF, when they were doing Gens, lol) nearly every game. And quite often I knew that those players were Solo, because I played a lot of games with them (which happens when you are playing a lot of DBD - you meet the same people) and they were always Solo.
The only Solution would be to tell the Killer afterwards who was SWF. Then they know that they did not lose vs an 4 man SWF. Or, that they just won against a 4 man SWF...
But like OP suggested, there is no reason for a Killer to play casual. Because even 4 Potatoes on Comms do better than 4 Potatoes playing Solo. They are still not good and most likely a Pushover for a Killer, but yeah...

SWF should give the killer 25% extra bloodpoints for each survivor that is grouped, for a max of 100% extra BP for a full 4-man group. SWF games do need to count as ranked, otherwise you will have a bunch of pro rank 20 SWF groups bullying killers.
My main strategy for dealing with coordinated SWF groups is to camp the ######### out of the first person I hook (preferably the guy with the OP flashlight so he loses it). They will try to save that person rather than doing gens, except I won't let them. Usually ends in a 2-3k match, a result I'm happy with against a group of 4, and a ton of salt afterwards.

I repeat it: if, as by your statement, killers don’t want, ever, to play against swf, why is it a good idea to force them to do it?

I still think that a lot of Killers would also play Causal. Same as solos. And you might sweeten up Causal mode with more Bloodpoints, or XPs or something for the people who dont need ranking up. Thats all solvable.

saying that "they have to because it's part of the game" doesn't solve the problem: if the swf problem is so paramount, killers will stop playing as killer, and there won't be any more game for neither swf or solo survivors.
Splitting the queues, if you are right in your assumption, would be the best thing: killers will stick to the game, swf players would still be able to play the game, just not with their friends if they have long queue times.
But I want to play with my friends!
Ok, but at what cost? Survivor queues times are already at an all time high, I guess some changes are long overdue.

Calling SWF the "SWF problem" is kinda dumb. Like I said above - not every SWF is even good at the game. And Killers dont only lose to SWFs.

People farm anyway and just make it where you cant use bp offerings. That would lower the amount of 3 and 4 man swf groups that killers seem to complain about. That lowers the wait times for swf since they can just play amongst themselves, while still giving them some progression since this game's grind is truly outrageous.
