Why does a pallet stun remove one killer's power but not the other's?

For example: If you stun the plague, she loses her power. The same goes for the Legion. If you stun Ghostface, he will be revealed. But if you stun Myers or Oni, nothing happens to their power.

@Peanits Maybe you can help me out here. Is it really just "meh, because it is what it is" or is there a real reason for the difference.

I guess it revolves around how hard is it for the killer to gain their powers.. for example, Myers and Oni have to waste a lot of time to gain their power so it would really suck for them to lose their powers instantly after wasting all that time just because of a pallet stun.. while Legion and Ghostface and can pop their powers anytime without any requirements other than the cooldown of their abilities so it isn’t a huge deal for them.

Ps: sry for my trash English

Lore reason: Probably because either they're more powerful or in tune with their power

Gameplay reason: Exactly what @Blueberry said

I think it is often good to standardize some mechanics rather than having specific mechanics. It may also help with balancing. So, yes.

And I do not see how this uniformity of the penalty would make the powers of the killers identical.

A big thing to realize about Myers and Oni...they have to build their power up, especially Myers. Him losing power on stun would effectively gut him.

Legion and Ghostface have cooldowns so it's not as big a deal for them.

Plague has a POWERFUL ability and stunning her is fine as punishment. She can have a hard time getting it, though.

Basically there is kind of a uniformity but there will be some exceptions and I think Myers is fine.

Yeah, let's just have Billy drop his Chainsaw every stun.

Because for balancing reasons I guess. Just imagine you could remove the power of Myers or Oni with one pallet stun. Might as well just throw them into the trash bin at that point.

They are different killers. Their powers are different.

I don't know how else to say it.

Legion and Ghostface have a cooldown and passively get their power.

Myers and Oni have to work a lot longer to get their power and have to manually get their power. It’s not on a cooldown.

Plague relies on survivors to give her a powerful ability. She has to play safe around pallets or she loses it. I’d say it’s a pretty fair trade off since Corrupt Purge is one of the more powerful abilities.

Pretty sure they changed Frenzy to not work on perks that count as basic attack because they wanted everything easier to understand for new players, and uniformity
