Rank reset is pointless and useless
Bhvr rank reset is bad ok its just complete trash and your head scratching ranking choices don't help with this. The latest rank reset choices have further turned a already useless mechanic into a painful one and its very unhealthy for a game with numerous bugs and a incompetent team at the head of it all I assume most changes are made on chalk board with a bunch of people just saying yes too everything. Maybe the rank reset mayhem wasn't "intended" ;)

I get a lot of DCing Killers lately. And well, its logical. Those Killers are Green Rank, usually around Rank 9 (I am Rank 3, currently). So its the maximum distance which is allowed.
BUT: Those Killers who are Rank 9 would have probably deranked a lot more. Lets say someone who barely reached Purple Ranks at the End of the Season (Rank 8) is now Rank 9. And easily able to play vs (and with) players who were in Red Rank before. But with old Rank Reset, a Killer or Survivor of Rank 8 would have been reset to like 15?... So they have much harder games now.
Please BHVR, revoke the Rank Reset Changes. It is really not enjoyable at the moment.

I don't get the point of rank reset now. I was rank one killer before reset, and I'm about to be rank 1 again two days later after a few games. Legit nothing has changed for me except those few tiny chill games that are rarer than water in a hot desert we all long for as killer.

I think rank reset should be harsher. Now rank serves no purpose. It's too easy to rank up. On a long enough timeline, you'll have more baby survs and killers almost always in red ranks. Just remove the ranks all together if that's the case.
If they make retaining and regaining rank this easy, they need to make ranking up more difficult.

I think at this point rank reset just separates players who never played before from people who have played for a little while. It’s probably better for the noobs this way, but as a player who ended up in Red ranks each month I preferred the pruning process that the previous method provided.

Rank reset is pointless and it has always been. The ranking system does not actually represent skill, thus you may run across people in red ranks that are absolute potatoes or players that loop every tile as efficiently as possible and make all chases last centuries, the ranking system is simply not functional and thereby the rank reset serves no purpose

Since Red ranks is gonna be filled with french fries to make Solo Q even worse might as well look for a group to play with. Just like how BHVR wants.

Hey I call a spade a spade I'm not gonna sugarcoat the fact bhvr and the DBD in particular aren't good devs. They lucked out because of the niche genre not their games quality and their insulting idea of movie and show based killers.

Yeah, this rank reset is not good for the long term health of the game. If you get lucky on a few matches and break into a rank you typically don't hang well with, you are stuck now. That just encourages deranking intentionally.
I'd rather see the old rank reset. Maybe have red and purple stay close?
