What is considered tryhard, sweaty, and boosted?

Tryhards are people who forget rank doesnt really matter in this game. Sweaty is someone who takes the game really to seriously. And boosted is swf pretty much. (Even though your ######### over the solo survivor if your only a 3 man or solo survivors if your a 2man. Kinda tired of getting rank 20s but its how it goes.

The matchmaker really needs a fix but your not really boosted if you do your job. Like if the killers on me and im distracting him and the rank 20 is capable of doing gens i think theyre doing a fine job its really when it comes to the killer going after them.

Ah i thought of the overwatch version of boosted i guess where you get carried to a rank your not supposed to be at by being teamed with a really good teammate who just carries you. (Which is kinda swf because you can be ranked with a rank 1 as a rank 20).

No that's potato

That’s how I’ve interpreted it too, honestly. Though I’d also note that I’ve been called boosted despite playing solo surv most of the time - and being the best survivor in my friend group even when I am SWF. I am not a top tier surv, I potato fairly frequently and can’t loop to save my life hah. So the ranking system helps boost me as well.

"Tryhard" is generally used to refer to someone who uses the strongest tactics available to them to either complete their objective efficiently or maximise their point gains, or both.
"Sweaty" is similar, but usually refers less to the tactics someone is employing and more to the fact that they're just trying really hard to play to the best of their ability - the idea being that they're working so hard at it they're "sweating" while they're playing. The terms "sweaty" and "tryhard" tend to be used interchangeably, however, to refer to builds, players, or particular tactics.
"Boosted" is used to describe someone who is out of their depth, skill-wise, usually because they have been "boosted" to a rank they don't belong at, either through sheer luck or more skillful friends/teammates, or both.
If you want specific examples of what sort of things people are likely to use those words to describe, pretty much any good add-ons, items or offerings, or meta perks in your loadout (Decisive Strike, Borrowed Time, Dead Hard, Balanced Landing, Adrenaline) as well any tactic which could be considered effective or efficient, especially if it's not much fun for the opposing side (examples include tunneling, slugging, bodyblocking or 99-ing Exit Gates) will put you at risk of being called "sweaty", "tryhard" or even "toxic".
People might call you "boosted" if you play badly, or if you are even perceived to have played badly (particularly if you used good perks or items and still didn't do well ingame), or used perks or tactics at mid to high ranks that have a reputation for being ineffective or a "crutch". Examples include the perks NOED, Urban Evasion and Self-Care, or tactics like hook camping.

Thanks everyone. Now I know I'm boosted 😥 Too easy to rank up as survivor.
