Suicide on the hook is okay
Hey, if you realize you’re pretty ######### and you want to ######### and move on to the next game than idc. Just don’t do it your first hook after almost nothing bad has happened. Does anyone else agree with me? It’s okay but don’t abuse the power of being able to suicide

I think it's a good thing to have in the game. The killer isn't robbed of their points like DCs. If I get badly farmed or if the killer is using a mori, I'll usually just kill myself on hook. It also can be used strategically throughout a game if someone needs to get hatch.

Context is important. Dying on hook to give teammate the hatch is okay. Dying on hook because you were downed in the first 30 seconds is not okay.

Yeah but sadly that's the type of mechanic that will always be abused.
Unless mods actively watch match replays it's pretty hard to tell apart someone who suicided on hook when the game was lost or to give a teammate hatch from someone who didn't press spacebar right for struggle (happens to the best of us sometimes) from people actually rage quitting.
I feel like forcing people who would DC to suicide on hook is already a step on the right direction since it buys survivors a bit more time and doesn't rob killers of their points/bbq stack.

I think that's fair to say. Immediately giving up the first time you go down is one thing, but giving up because there's four generators left and everyone's been on the hook multiple times and you aren't having fun is another. If your chances of winning are that slim, there's no real harm in it.

Yeah, atleast you're "fair" to the killer this way, since you give him bp, stacks and other stuff, it still sucks for survivors though.

Nowadays lots of people suicide on first hook because of the spine chill challenge. Get hooked = no challenge 4 him.

Don't think you should be playing if you have that mentality. Saves the rest of us the salt when a teammate does this and botches it for the rest of us.
