Mettle of Man is now pretty decent.
After the adjustments to protection hit procs, Mettle now can gain more than 1 charge in a single encounter unlike before. Bring a styptic (and even Breakout to help the carried survivor even more) and you'll have 2/3 charges in a single go.

That's if the killer doesn't go for you.

Still a waste of a perk and you aren’t really gaining anything since you’re trading a styptic agent for a hit later on.

You sound like you believe MoM is for the aggressive selfish playstyle. If you're a very altruistic player, MoM is a good one.
6 -
The chances that you are gonna proc MoM more than once are very low. Even for just 1 proc you practically need to ######### and your team for it. So not worth it in my opinion.

Still a junk perk. Your team would rather you bang out a gen or even a totem than to have you going out of your way to activate this perk.
Personally, I never see this perk on survivors. I won't mind seeing it as that is one survivor who will likely not be gen jockeying much. Anything that gets survivors off gens makes me happy.

Still... Why bring MoM? At all? There's a handful of good perks and it ain't one of them.
5 -
MoM is still trash tier, cause taking 3 protection hits before anything happens is far too timewasting. Also you need special perk combinations to get MoM to work properly, which doesnt reward the input in the slightest.

Mettle of Meme. Serious talk, if you're running this perk you're hurting your team.
4 -
They probably wouldn’t have been on the hook if you spent that time doing gens instead.
Takes at least like 2 minutes to activate MoM. From following the injured survivor and healing and running to them again 3 times
so they were probably hurt

Bring a styptic is not a good trade off at all. Plus most of the times that I bring one I get facecamped right after. And I only have a limited amount of styptics that means I’ll only be able to do it a limited couple of times.

I would argue that if you are aggressively altruistic then you are a bad team mate. Maybe, MAYBE, you save one survivor from being hooked one time. Big deal. You wasted so much of your own time doing so that the killer is actually put at an advantage. Now he has two injured survivors to track. And there is no guarantee that you save the survivor from being hooked in the first place. The killer can very often choose to just not give you a protection hit and walk to a different hook.
Mettle of Man is a trap perk for bad players that don't know any better. It's not like you'll be working on a generator while an injured player gets downed conveniently nearby for you to get your protection hits. No. You have to run Empathy in conjunction with MoM so you know where the injured survivors are in order to block for them in the first place. Then when a survivor is injured you have to get off a generator and run across the map to tail the chase. That means all the time that survivor is buying for you to work a generator is partly or mostly going to waste.
All of the power is in the killer's hands when it comes to whether or not you get a protection hit. Don't you think maybe after the killer sees you trying to block him getting a hook the first two times he might figure it out? So you wind up wasting all of your time (which is really the team's time) trying to get one Mettle of Man proc and the killer just doesn't give it to you anyway. It's a bad perk and a trap. Quit trying to convince players otherwise. You are doing a disservice to all survivors. Maybe that's your goal. Maybe you're a killer main trying to make survivors easier to kill. In which case, I applaud your efforts. Well done.

If they added hook saves to it as well it'd be solid.

Really? Cause I either do gens or follow around killer and chased survivor, I can't manage to do them both. Because most of the time chasing and downing happens on the other side of the map. Whenever I run MoM, I get 1, max 2 tokens. Never even get to used it in most of my games. If survivor gets down near a hook I just, sneak around to do a safe hook rescue, not take unnecessary hit. How else do you get those tokes? Either follow around or take unnecessary hits.
It is a useless perk for my play style anyways.

You have no idea how easy it is to gain protection hits now (not that I'm complaining, this is how it should be), stand next to a downed Survivor, healing them, take a hit for a running injured Survivor, take a hit while unhooking or after, take a hit near them, honestly this perk encourages team beneficial behavior, I think it's in a good spot for it giving you some love for giving love.

I don't understand why you are trying to argue with peanits. You aren't achieving anything out of it. They have their build, you have yours, now shut up.

i still think it’s a waste of a perk slot. it doesn’t really contribute anything to the game overall, not does it increase chances of escape.
2 -
Even worse. It lowers the chance of escape.
3 -
Wow. That achieved so much more I suppose.

In short, you still need to pay a lot to use that perk, oh no.

No it isn't. You're wasting gen time and giving free map pressure to the killer. You're hurting your team more by running MoM than you are helping because of how much you have to do to get it.
Yes, it has its moments. But the large majority of the time you run it, you're hurting your team.

I will admit - MoM with WGLF and BT is actually a pretty disgusting combo. Even moreso if you have a styptic. Triple tanking.

if you wanted with a styptic you could take all 3 hits and have mettle of man like 2 minutes into a game

You know, I DO gens on the regular, and only go to assist a dying survivor when they're close enough. Apparently I'm a bad player for caring for the well being of the other survivor's chances of escaping by preventing hooks. You have a point about some aware killers trying to deny a hit proc, but Breakout exists too, and that's helped me completely counter that action while also benefiting myself and the carried survivor.
