Hey devs what are the dc punishment time increments

Hey @Peanits or @not_Queen what are the dc timeout intervals like.

1-30 seconds

2 and so on-?

We currently do not want to communicate that information for two reasons.

Numbers will most likely change in the future
Abusing the system is a lot easier when you have all the information (this is also the reason we were not publishing threshold for DC bans before)

As someone mentioned in another thread ( I am sorry I can't find it again to quote)

It increases the more you DC.

Slap on the wrist
Slap with a ruler
Slap with a metal ruler
Slap with a wrench
Hammer time
...
...

I mean, someone is going to figure it out at some point soon, so not telling us is kind of futile. Do you know how cheap DBD can be at some retailers? It's easy enough to make a test steam account to do baseline testing.

@The_Second_Coming I understand the point, but this was a design decision and we are rolling with it. Specifically for decay rates.

Oh, I agree with decay rates. Those should be kept private. I think most would mostly want to know the stages and time buildups per disconnect. Not because people are "planning" to disconnect, but as you guys have acknowledged, there are bugs in the game (like the basement hook bug) that give people the choice of DCing, or waiting god knows how long. So it'd be nice for those people to know more or less what they are in for.
