Why can't Thrilling Tremors block all gens instead of untouched ones?
As a survivor main myself, I've been slowly learning to play both sides to understand the true frustration of the killer main community. Surprisingly, I do feel bad for most people; without Ruin I've been genrushed into oblivion (mostly because of my mistakes), and I can't enjoy playing the less-mobile killers as a result. However, what if the perk Thrilling Tremors were to receive a change? If you're in a chase with a survivor and they loop you endlessly, the feeling of finally getting them down is amazing, albeit at the expense of other teammates hurrying through the gens. What if downing the survivor and hooking them causes all the generators to be blocked for a certain amount of time, say 10 seconds? That way with BBQ, it gives you the opportunity to hurry to the gen worked on to atleast gain some kind of momentum, and if you combine it with PGTW, you atleast stand a chance of preventing the gen to get complete? Let me know your thoughts!

I like it the way it is rn. I use it as Freddy in combination with Pop goes the weasel and it pretty much slows down the game efficiently. I also use it as Ghostface to find the next survivor for a nice stalk. They mostly concentrate on the gen and dont expect ghostface to come to this certain gen to stalk^^

I think it's purpose is to be more of a tracking perk rather that a slow down perk.

What this guy said. You can use it to see what gens are being worked on

@Atchoo Hmm understandable, I guess. But it's a shame really that the devs haven't implemented a perk that would automatically prevent generator progression throughout the map, even if it's for a limited amount of time. Would give an incentive to play killers other than god-tier ones.

Would it, though? I'm pretty sure the only thing it would incentivise is leveling the appropriate killer to level 40 to get the teachable so that the player can start using it on their main. No playing of low-tier killers required.

Your idea is good, only if the touched gens stay red and the untouched white, because this visual indication is really helpful. As others said, Thrilling Tremors is more of a tracking perk.

@DudeDelicious And that works perfectly with BBQ for high mobility killers like Spirit, Billy or no TR killers like GF. But what about Hag, Clown, or my personal favourite, Trapper? Get them off the gen, forcing them to go for the unhook, meanwhile kicking the gen with PGTW and trapping the surrounding area efficiently, thereby prolonging the game further. With my proposed change (or designing any perk like this in the future) this could make the mentioned killers atleast a bit more viable.

Why not have it where all gens currently being worked on are locked after a hook, That would give it synergy and still track. I personally think that would be the best way for it to work. Useful in most situations and situationally useful haha

Meant to be a mix between slowdown and tracking.
I thought this perk was really bad when it first came out, but I think I was totally wrong. It's one of my favourite perks now. Don't think it needs a change.

Plus, it punishes people who get off the Gen to avoid letting you get that info since they can't get back on it for a hot minute

How are they working on it while hiding in a locker??

Tremors is when you pick up, BBQ is when you hook.

Oh right

The only thing I want is for the perk to activate on hook instead of when I pick up. When you pick someone up you see the auras for hooks as well so it can be a little difficult to distinguish which gens are being worked on.

If it worked like that, then survivors could just hop off their gen whenever they see someone go down to completely negate the effect.

So two perks to do what BBQ used to do on it's own? 8-/
0 -
Right but that would be the counter play to it and thats okay.

Tbh it works as both. With enough pressure applied on survivors, a 16 second halt to gen progress on any gen that was yet to be touched again can slow a game pretty well.
