the idea of this is to gain some data, please use the format below to make is easy to understand just provide an estimate. be honest and be polite to others.

Because survivor is more relaxing and chill, can happily go in a game with any perk and feel confident i can have a decent and fun game, however killer i feel you need to focus more and need a good build to do as well. killer games can also be more frustrating if against a good swf or the toxic people that send messages after so survivor just makes a more fun experience more often.

    Because both sides get boring really fast once you play them awhile. I think of maining one side like only playing 50 percent of the game. That's my personal opinion on the matter. Both sides are fun to me, I find that both sides have skill levels that need to be learned in their own regards as well which makes them different,diverse and keeps the fun in the game for me.

    Survivor is easier and I don't get stressed about anything. I can do whatever I want and still enjoy it and still get through most games. Even in red ranks, where some matches are just the sweatiest thing, I don;t really try that hard. I don't see the point and literally don't care if I get sacrificed because it doesn't really mean anything. So long as I save someone and do a gen and pop some totems, I'll probably at least safety pip and get a few BP if I die on my first hook to a camper.

    Killer is miserable for me most of the time and anything higher than yellow ranks just feels like I'm choosing to give myself anxiety and stress. I use to main Killer but it became a chore and all I did was complain so I stopped playing it mostly. Ranking as a Killer and feeling like you accomplished something are two very different things and most of the time it just feels bad running around as a Killer. I'm probably just really bad at it though. (I also don;t like that I am the 1 vs the 4. Its an anxiety thing.)

    I find killer more fun but survivor less stressful. I purposely keep my killer rank below purple because I have no desire to face more red rank survivors than I have to, as that takes away a lot of the fun. I like to be challenged, not to feel like I’m in a pressure cooker all game. I got the rank one achievement, my rank means nothing to me anymore. I honestly don’t know why my survivor rank is as high as it is, I’m not amazing at prolonging chases. That being said, I do feel it’s easier to rank up as a survivor so that likely explains it.

    surv rank 1 because you cant de-rank, killer purple ranks because i can use build which helps me de-pip with 26k bp <smug>

    if you would guarantee me playing only on green ranks i would play 80% surv but playing vs killers that tunnels because with their skill thats only way they can hold red ranks, im done (camping and tunneling should be newbies trait but funny enough there is less tunnelers/campers within green rank killers) + im tired of holding m1 (its not fun after 2,4k hours) and i just want to loot and cleanse 5 totems ;/

    killer is pretty chill to me, maybe because i never cared about outcome (well for me depip is blessing soo) just give me my 24k bp+bbq, maybe only time when im kinda stressed when i rly want to kill ######### that is running infinite window

    Hardly play killer, when i hit rank 1 i stop playing most of the time. even more so with the rift playing survivor is more chill and easy so when i need fragments i can just jump on survivor without a worry, but if you arent gonna join in and be polite leave. thanks.

    I play both until I reach a killer rank where it feels almost every match is a miserable ordeal ft. keys, green toolboxes & haddonfield offerings. Then survivor only til next reset.

    I love playing both sides, but as many people i sometimes get tired of one side and play only one side for a while.

    Is there any way for non-dev/CMs to check the actual numbers? I’d be legitimately curious to see if my estimate was correct, and percentage of killer games were each killer...

    Iv done mine as currently (within the past 6months) due to the game always changing im interested to see where people sit atm. however if i looked at my actual stats id have more time as killer, but thats due to me having the game since release and mained killer many years ago

    It is currently like this but I am starting to play killer a lot more since I am not enjoying solo survivor at all at the moment. It's just full of bad survivors.

    Nope, it's all hidden away. It takes a bit of effort to be able to check it. It would definitely be very cool to see, though.

    i second that! but i know trapper will be up the top for me as when there was 4 killers he was the only one i played, but now i mix and match more often

    I mostly play survivor unless my friends aren't on. I rank up on killer very slowly because I let the last survivor go often. I enjoy survivor more than killer because it's more fun to play with friends.

    I am new, and have only been playing since the week of Halloween when some buddies of mine invited me to play. Since then I have been obsessed a bit. I got my first devotion already. Lol But I like survivor just because there feels like a bigger margin of error. I can loot or fail a skill check and not “lose”. Killer feels like one bad chase and I “lose”. Three gens gone and I’m being bagged at the exit gate. Killers motivate me to play them because of shorter queues and faster bloodpoints. I feel like I am still kinda scrubby as survivor, my rank climbed faster than my skill set developed. So I am trying to spend more time on the survivor side to get better, and more confident. I gotta loop better. Killer, I don’t feel as “in control of a match” so like I dunno how to improve. I dunno how to counter loops better, its not as intuitive to me. I just try and fail without understanding how I could have done better. As a survivor I typical know where I effed up. Does that make sense? Anyway...

    I prefer killer, even though it's more stressful. Survivor has very little to do outside of gens, saves, and looping. Killer gets to plan stuff out and hunt. Plus I'm in control for the most part, I don't have to rely on potato survivors.
