Many people take this game too seriously(competivly)
I get that many people love this game, including myself, but I feel like over time people have been taking this game way too seriously from a competitive standpoint. Always wanting nerfs(keys and moris) and stuff like that. How many matches do you actually see a key or a mori? I only see a key used every 30 or so matches and a mori almost never.
I feel like if everyone wasnt trying to be so serious over things, this game could be alot more enjoyable as a whole. Many people forget alot of people play for casual which is the majority and pushing all of these competitive balances and changes could end up disconnecting a part of the community. Some changes are explainable and protesting for buffs/nerfs can be mandatory in some situations, I feel like people have gone over the top lately

i agree 100%, like i do random perk builds, items, offerings, survivor, killer, add-ons, etc. or i just do random adepts for the fun of it. It's a game, it's ment to be fun. not enraging for no apparant reason.

DBD toxicity in a nutshell:
Survivors: "Oh boo hoo, just another whiny killer that couldn't get a 4k, The fact we are a 4 man with coms, designated roles, map offering, 4x item carrying is beyond the point. Your bad and you should feel bad scrub, EZ"
Killers: Oh wa wa wa, You are just an Entitled (Green ranks) survivor main. Your upset because you couldn't get your way and gen rush me in 5 seconds. Maybe if you stopped holding M1 I wouldn't have to use a mori, ultra rare addons, and the game offering just to have a decent length match

If other people in your rank do it, you do it too. Easy like that.

Some people are just more competitive than others, that's normal for every game.
I personally don't have near as much of an issue with mori's and keys as I do other things in the game, because as you said, they are very rarely seen. I personally also like having some "OP" addons/offerings as long as they're ultra rare as I kinda see that as the entire point of ultra rares. I'm in the minority there though.
I also think whether or not people take it more or less serious has to do with their rank as well. Like in lower ranks you can goof around, not be serious, still win and not as many people are toxic. However in high ranks, the other side doesn't give you time to goof around and if you do or you're just bad they are going to be toxic as hell to you. You almost "try hard" because you want to stop them from treating you badly. Think of it like standing up to a bully in school.

With the tome challenges keys are pretty common now actually
I think there is a challenge with a key?
Not sure though

I played 3 matches as killer today, in all of them there was a skeleton key. I played 3 survivor games and one included an ebony mori. Those offerings are used, its not that rare but I dont have a problem with them at all.
I have to agree with you when it comes to the behavior of players, some take the game way too serious and personal.
We need more games based on fun than on competitiveness

Ok. Nothing wrong about taking something serious. Nothing wrong about wanting a balanced game.

I will say, mori's are becoming more rare because you don't earn as much BP and can even de-pip, but someone brings a key 1 outta every 3 matches I play.

No, but there are challenges which require the player to escape the match, so a lot of people have been bringing keys for those as a kind of insurance.

i agree man but i don't think it comes down to people being sweaty it comes down to these things ruining there enjoyment in the game after all losing 2 kills to a key isn't fun neither is getting moried by a killer after getting tunneled off your first hook

It´s a psycological thing... As long there is a ranking/ emblem system, which tells u if u are doing a good or a bad job, those people will continue tryharding. If I get a 4k without camping or tunneling, I feels also bad, if I get a depip (happens sometimes to me with billy or spirit). Without a ranking system u could play much more relaxed. Do u know what I mean?

It's not people being super competitive or people who want to win every game. It's just that people want to have fun. Waiting 5 minutes for a match just to get moried off first hook isn't a fun experience and neither is having 3 survivors escape on you because they had a key and hit the button. Everyone is just trying to have fun and a balanced game is a big factor in that.

@Pokerface303 Which game are u talking about? "Barbies Little Pony Adventure 2"? XD In the red ranks most of the people are tryharding. After a lot of my matches the survivors are insulting each other or the killer in the aftergame chat. Otherwise the killers are complaining about gen rush and crutch perks. So of course they take the game too serious, cuz they wanna get pips.

If you don't see moris and keys too often it doesn't mean that other people don't
