What does everyone thinks about the new doctor changes?

If He ends up to be trash, it doesn't bother me because I'm a Hag Main Luv

I think we should wait and see how it plays out before making judgement

    Looks promising though

You heard it hear devs hag needs nerfed I think we should wait till he is on the PTB to actually judge but it looks a little bit promising to me personally and looks neat. We'll see though :D

Doc was a steaming pile of garbage so I doubt they could make him worse. Which is good because he has fantastic cosmetics!

    Obviously very early buuut

first impressions are he looks really cool, I way prefer how static blast works to static field. Could be too reliant on Whispers, but apart from that it looks great to me.

Pretty much same - I don’t think whispers is 100% go to... discordance or surveillance could work as good? If anything doc kinda has built in whispers in the end-game but if paired with whispers you can work out if a survivors in a locker near you or not.

It's early to tell for sure, but I think the removal of the modes is going to be great for playing Doctor and making the passive Static Field into the active Static Burst seems to make it less annoying for survivors and more consistent for killers, though I think the cool down is a bit too long.

I love the current Doctor. I love the passive madness and I'm sad to see it go. Sure you can do a shock to get everyone 1 tier up if they are in your terror radius, but it's pretty easy to snap out of that.

His playstyle is going to change significantly and I'm not a fan of that. Literally the only change he needed was a little more default range on his shock blast to cut off loops and he'd be a viable red rank killer.

You can't balance a game if you keep doing complete overhauls, devs. Small tweaks achieve balance.

    Pros:

New Doc doesn't slow down to go into treatment mode, and can just shock people on the fly during a chase at normal movement speed of 4.6 m/s (115%), which means better anti-loop potential.

New Doc can shock everyone in his TR once every 60 seconds, and everyone shocked this way gains a guaranteed tier of madness.

Iridescent Queen sounds like a fun add-on for spreading the madness around to survivors attempting to work on gens together.

    Cons:

No more static field means no more passive madness gain rate, which also raises concerns for how they are going to change his Order add-on's base effect.

No more static field means his anti-stealth proximity mechanic is now limited to only being usable once every 60 seconds, so on average he'll only get to use it roughly 5 times per match, 10 times if he does it every time its available whether there are survivors nearby or not.

Survivors can still hide in lockers to avoid getting shocked

    Questions:

How will his add-ons shared afflictions change?

Will these changes make him more aggressive or will they reduce the pressure he puts on survivors currently?

Will I lose my favorite doc builds? (Ninja Doc, Sniper Doc, World Wide Doc, Bully Doc, etc...)

Since he no longer switches between punishment and treatment mode, how will his add-ons like Calm and Order change?

Have they at least increased the default range of his regular shock attack by 25%? if so does that mean that his Electrode add-ons have been adjusted from 25/50/75% range to 50/75/100%?

    Speculation:

I fear that In order to make these changes more "fair" the devs will overdo their attempt at balancing him by slowing him down even more when performing a shock attack, and that his static blast power will make him pause in place for 3-4 seconds to give survivors ample time to try and escape his TR. If not, then I worry they'll try to balance it by making his TR a smaller 24 meter one, which would make his Calm add-ons and Distressing essential to his builds if he wants any chance of effectively using his new Static Blast power.

Doc was my main for a long time when I mained killer, and while I'm hoping for the best with these changes, I'm expecting the devs to give him too many disadvantages for them to be actually useful. Like when they tested GF on the ptb, and made him the noisiest "stealth killer" ever, or when they released Demogorgon, and gave him the ability to shred pallets with his power, but unless you had it already charged up by the time the survivor drops the pallet, its no different in breaking time in comparison to a regular breaking action (seriously, what's the point?).

I think we should all reserve our judgement until it actually comes out.

Now watch every survivor have Calm Spirit on PTB

I mean, on the PTB? Probably. It happened before too when Calm Spirit was reworked...but it never made it into the meta because it's so situational.

Same thing will happen this time. Calm spirit literally only combats clown and doc. It's not worth a perk slot.

I'm excited, personally. Doctor is my go-to when I play killer. I'll be sad to see the shock field go, and some of the strategies involving it, but on the whole I like the idea of the new power better, because I think it creates more room for tactical gameplay.

Really looking forward to the post with all his changes coming out in a few weeks, so I can get a better idea of how he's going to play from now on.

I’m not sure how I feel about them. His Static Blast currently sounds terrible because of the 60 second cooldown at base. If it stays that bad, then I’d like to have the Static Field back. The removal of Madness 3 causing Exhaustion from a couple of his add-ons makes no sense to me. It should’ve stayed and have the counter-clockwise skill checks become part of his base kit or a different add-on. I do like the removal of Treatment Mode and addition of counter-clockwise skill checks though.

The devs said there’s going to be a post in January that talks about Doctor’s changes. Hopefully it addresses my concerns.

Static field isnt going to come back, became its not "fun" for survivors. It has nothing to do with making the doctor stronger but instead the survivor enjoyment.

Remember they already said they want doctor to be less annoying to face and their not necessarily trying to buff him. Just the small QOL changes, like I expected

Shouldn't you wait and see him in action first? People said the same thing about reworked Freddy, and he's disgusting with certain builds.

It has a use, but you used it without context. Just chill, bro.

Seems is used for an impression, a deduction. I dont need to a specific context to say I think something seems to be bad
