Rank down in-game despite being at 16?

I haven't been able to play all that much that my rank's gotten down quite a lot, and due to the servers being absolute trash and throwing me out of matches it de-ranked me even more? How is this possible being rank 16? I'm suddenly back at 18 without even doing anything just because of killers disconnecting - what's even going on anymore? Fair enough if I don't get any points from 15 and on but since when does it happen at 16 and downwards? I'm... Tired.

    My understanding is that you shouldn't be able to depip past 15. Maybe because you're disconnecting the game still removes a pip where normally you cannot.

    So much for keeping bullies out of lower ranks.

    My point exactly! It shouldn't even be allowed to happen, yet it somehow deranked mid-game. I have no clue what's happening it's beyond me at this point. I was having fun getting some of the points back after a break but idk how I'm gonna do that if people keep disconnecting and the game's messing up. And I just read they changed the ranking system so I was wondering if that was a part of it too or if it's literally just the servers being a Mess.

    They changed the rules last year, rank 16s can lose all their pips and the game will laugh at them and make them remain rank 16 for ever.

    I have been rank 15 and depipped to 16 then all the way to 16 and 0/4 pips.

    The game is broken so utterly in certain ways I doubt they will ever fix it

    Maybe stop depipping at rank 16?

    Or better still once you reach rank 15 you cannot depip below that rank.,
