New rank reset pushing anyone else to be a survivor main?
Due to new Rank reset I keep getting survivors that are incredibly good, and I know i'm gonna get the "lul git gut" people, but I don't feel like I have any chance to actually catch any of them unless I'm Spirit or Nurse or maybe Billy or Oni. Walking backwards or faking pallet breaks don't work anymore as I think they've all learned how to counter them.
I'm feeling very defeated over this past week, but I have noticed that I rarely ever lose as survivor (with the only loses being due to throwing teammates) so I think I'm just gonna stay with survivor to keep my mood and anger in check lol.
Anyone else feeling like this? And if you're gonna comment anything aggressive please don't bother :)
(1050hrs in btw)
(P.S. when can we get a practice map so I can learn how to use Oni without losing 5 times in a row lol)

I've been playing survivor more but it's just for the sweet, sweet tome bloodpoints. If I could get survivor matches as fast as I get killer matches, I would play survivor WAY more.

Yeah

Main survivor?
No
I won't sink that low.

I'm actually being pushed to play killer more.
Matchmaking at red ranks takes forever as survivor. Solo or SWF. But as killer I can find a game in less than a minute every time.
With old rank reset I could actually play survivor after a reset. Now I'm stuck in lobby simulator forever.

No because killer is easy if you know what you're doing.
Just bad luck. No need to make a post about it.

I've actually had the same experience on Xbox NA. Lots of very good Survivors, I can't play Legion anymore :(

Wait, I dont get the issue with the rank reset. Playing low tier killers sure does feel underwhelming, but that shouldn't be this bad

I only play survivor but I actually play less than I would because it takes forever to find a match most of the time.
But that's because everyone is playing Survivor.
Disagree. If you are good at Killer it can be easy. Many of us just aren't that good.

Btw i just press play and tab the game until a lobby pops. Anyway it take around 2-5 mins not 15 mins

I play both sides and that's never going to change.
I never blame anything on game balance or my teammates. If I lost, it's 99% of the time my fault.

I called this from the beginning.
This is meant to be a band-aid fix to temporarily and artificially inflate the number of red rank killers while they think of a solution to the decreasing number of high rank killers.

I'll never be a survivor main because the role is mind mumbling brain dead. Eapecially on certain maps. But I play it so that I get both perspectives that way when I listen to survivors .... Address their concerns I can accurately weigh how warranted they are.
I just think it's a shame killers are so much weaker.

I'm not a killer main by choice, if i can load into a survivor lobby quick, i would have played survivor more but as it is, i find i often just close the game out of boredom when i'm waiting to find a game as a survivor. Been playing dbd way less then i used to due to that

Yeah games as survivor are so much easier... It's way to chill and relaxed compared to killer.

Nope, it's actually pushing me to be a killer main. I can't get good teammates anymore. I refuse to believe that any of my teammates these days are actually red ranks. They play exactly like rank 15's. Throwing down god pallet immediately, wasting every pallet, going down in 15 seconds, making stupid saves, not doing gens until ruin is cleansed...
Basically 95% of my teammates are potatoes, solo survivor is not enjoyable at all. It's no surprise that killers have 70% kill rates.

I too was getting angry at this, till I changed my mindset and tactics. First off, I don't care about pipping as killer since I am getting survivors way outside my rank anyway. Say I'm in a match where ruin goes down instantly, I'm using a weaker killer, and one survivor frustratingly loops me for two gens. The game is over, no point in stressing, hit the basement, look at a wall, and read a book until they escape. There's just no point in feeding into a survivors ego, if they want to be that sweaty, I will remove their fun.
Second thing, if you're on a losing streak, get a strong, easy to play killer with fun add on's. I myself love scratched mirror meyers on Lerys. I also enjoy playing gatekeeper nurse. Save the best for last, insidious, and noed. Play normally, but when the last gen is getting close, blink behind the exit door and use insidious. If you chose the right door, they open it and get one heck of a surprise.
The last though about this, is the really good survivors are like double bp's for my skill level. Once I play them, I will eventually get average survivors, and I stomp them.

I remedy that with youtube videos on the side tbh :P makes the wait feel non-existant. Plus with Survivor I can watch the videos while playing as I don't need to focus

I've been having very opposite experiences. I think If I just on killer rn, the only way I'll have a chance of winning is if someone DCs or throws, because those have been my only "wins" in the last week.

I think the thing is, if I try hard and make predictions of where they are and how good they are and whos the strong links etc, it makes my loses more impactful? I guess my thing is just being too serious and competitive, but of course it's a death sentence considering the sheer RNG level of the game.
RN it's harder to play any good killers because I'm halfway prestiging everyone, and not everyone has the best perks sadly. I got bubba to prestige 3 level 1 and I'm never touching him again haha
