to those who stop genning and go look at another survivor when they blow a gen
the 4 seconds it takes you to do that you could have finished the gen more than often . you're. not clever you're toxic. if someone missed a skill check just KEEP GENNING . if not YOU'RE THE PROBLEM

I’m pretty sure that it takes a couple of seconds to start making progress on the gen again after somebody blows it up.

Just because it's called a ranked mode doesn't mean you can't have a little fun.
23 -
This. You don't get gen progress for about 3 seconds after a failed skill check or a "Good" Ruin check.
17 -
Progress is paused after you mess up a skillcheck.
I have all the time in the world to guilt-trip you bud ;)
11 -
Getting off only makes sense for ruin. Without ruin staying on will give you more bp.

OP, I think you are a little too sensitive. Relax a little. It's a game. It's meant to be fun. If someone pokes a little fun at you for missing a skill check and it bothers you enough to rant on a forum about it, maybe it is time for a break.

Oh my god do people actually get salty when I do that do them? I always found it funny whenever it happened to me.
Thanks for encouraging me to do it every time now :)
14 -
I think it’s hilarious when I blow up a gen and they look at me, crouch, and slowly nod their head.

Oh no, don’t take my fun away! When my husband and I are playing in a swf, the best part of the game is when he blows a skill check and I point him off the gen and tell him to go make me a sandwich! 😂
4 -
That isn’t toxic, you can’t even get more progress for a few seconds after blowing it up or hitting a good ruin skill check.
2 -
A survivor goofing around with another survivor is toxic? Well... I guess everything is toxic these days.
4 -
come back and complain when you have at least 250 posts

His post count isn’t important, anyone is allowed to voice an opinion.
10 -
yeah but most people with under 100 posts are either new to the game and dont know stuff or still dont know that on this forum, you dont have to be so blatant with your opinions. i personally have had to learn this and still have some problems not being so rude.

Commenting/making threads is how you increase your post count so nothing is wrong with them making one.
5 -
They should stare at you and you should feel bad.
4 -
This. I usually point at the survivor that messed up or wink if i did.

Imagine someone looking your way after you make a loud explosion.....the nerve of some people.
1 -
I remember when I blew up a gen by accident and two Steve's just stared at me. I was both laughing and terrified haha
6 -
So you seriously never noticed that after blowing up a gen it pauses for all survivors on the gen?
2 -
LOL

Seriously, if I spawn with others we usually spend 5 seconds screwing around before we run off to do anything... this isn’t life folks it’s a game
2 -
Ok you take this game waaaay too serious OP, #nofunallowed.
4 -
You don't gain extra BP when there's no progress made on the generator. A generator from 0-100 gives 1250 BP and coop actions add to that - but requires both making progress on the generator still.
1 -
I just go and point them when I miss a skillcheck
0 -
when someone fails a skillcheck on a generator / hits a "good" ruin skillcheck, everyone on the generator will be unable to gain any progress on itr for as long as there are sparks flying out of it.
when they stop and look at you, they basically just avoid getting additional skillchecks that may end up regressing the gen even more.
so no.
them stopping to work on the gen is actually the smart move.

You don’t earn any BP when the gen isn’t progressing...
This is actually a good thread it may teach people why others stop working gens momentarily

No fun, only tactical precise play is allowed. Fun is for toxic people ;)
We better stop the butt dance greeting too. Big waste of time!
1 -
Also no more booping the snoot
0 -
That... is too far... if we do not boop snoot how do we appease our piggy goddess?
SNOOT MUST ALSO BE BOOPED!
1 -
Takes a few seconds for it to start back up. Plus you can literally put yourself in a slot u can auto jump back on gen with a button. It takes no actually time loss to do this.

But I don't want to potentially waste a skillcheck I might hit a great on during the no-progress lockout period after a missed skillcheck/"good" ruin skillcheck.
Actually if there's ruin and you miss the great please do get off for a moment, always painful when someone gets machine gun skillchecks and the gen goes bzt bzt bzt 4 times in 8 seconds 😥

Lol right! I was going after the 4K challenge on time level 1 (I think) and I actually gave it up because someone booped the snoot.
Granted that isn’t a super difficult one, so I knew I could get it again. If it had been 4 basement sacrifice no hold barred

I'm talking about from skill checks come on man
0 -
I'm talking about from skill checks but sure bud
0 -
I fail to see why that is considered toxic.
0 -
Because sweat that’s why I guess lol

hmmmm the irony!
talks about other people which are doing just fine or are a bit better killers and blames them for that. and then he calls himself dbd fan (his name) which just isnt true maybe he likes it but a fan does know more then he probably does like it seems.
rule #1: dont blame other people if you dont know anything better
rule #2: try to understand both sides of the game (Killer AND Survivor) so you know how to play against a killer better if you learn to understand his power and will experience how stressfull it is to play as killer. (i wrote that because i saw other posts of you in which you blame the killer that they are op but they arent and are playing normal)
rule #3: always try to learn from other players so you can get better through it.

I work on the rule I can blow one skill check, but if I blow a second and I get the "look" from the other survivor I leave the gen.

You need to have some fun my guy

So you dont know that sitting on the gen while blown up there is no progress and instead you still can get a skillcheck to fail again? Poor boi, dont talk about things you dont even understand.

While I agree it waste time I fail to see how its "toxic".
When I'm nearly done a gen and the person with me blows it sometimes I'll slowly turn towards them in a "facepalm" moment, not because I'm being "toxic" but because I'm having fun and giving them DBDs version of a facepalm emote.

Exactly, maybe at low levels it feels like toxic I guess?
But I feel like by red ranks we know it’s almost impossible to depip so we screw around a lot
0 -
Everyone gets off the gen because the most optimal strat is to hope off, ######### around for a second then risk getting a skill check that you can great for 0 progress
0 -
The gen won't repair while its still smoking for 3 seconds after its damaged, so they're actually doing the right thing by stopping repair to avoid another skill check.
0 -
Uhhhhhhhh...the gen progression stops for about 2.5 seconds, while it is stopped it can still trigger a skill check for a person working on the gen, which they can fail, and the process just keeps going, leading to your eventual killer friend showing up and eating you.
So it's actually non-toxic.
Now...get Gud.
0 -
Don't miss a skill check then?
0 -
I let go to avoid extra skillchecks, the only time I stop and stare at somebody is if they are gen tapping.
0 -
- It's a thing called "fun".
- If there's Ruin and you blow a gen (or don't hit a great) you can't make progress anyway AND it's possible to get more skill checks during that time where you're not making progress anyway.
