Extra Sound Settings
Can the DEVS of this game please add more sound settings to this game. For a game thats been out for 3 years and constant additions to the game of new mechanics. Sound is something that they have done very well, but for the love of god can I please turn down some of the sound effects. A clear example of this is playing against the Doctor and those whispers are louder than a generator explosion. I understand that they want you to feel as though your insane but my ears are not happy. Only having main volume and menu music volume options is pretty pathetic. I've played indie games with several sliders for sound. For a game of this caliber their should be atleast 4 sound settings to adjust. Main, in-game, sound effects, and voice. You character should still grunt and groan without the proper perks, but I still like to adjust it for myself. I'm not sure how others feel about this but I certainly think this is something that needs to be addressed as soon as possible. It's really just a "quality of life" change long over due.

Sound design is a key part of balance in Dead by Daylight because it plays such a large mechanical role in the gameplay. Giving players the ability to manipulate the volume of different sounds in the game would be much more than a QOL change, it would open up a whole sea of sound-based tactics that would be extremely difficult for the developers to balance around.

How does being able to adjust your OWN sound make the game hard to balance. Please explain this thinking. I dont hear the hatch, I dont hear the hatch???

wish muting hook screams was in the options not a perk

I understand and respect your point but what im saying if i adjust my OWN sound, even if that may amplify other sounds. The sound still happening at a normal volume for everyone else doesn't seem an advantage for me. More so a disadvantage but sound volume to my liking.

The real reason why there are no sound settings, is because the developers hate any form of customisation that doesn't cost money. We don't even have graphic settings like V-sync, AA, texture, shadow, lighting, motion blur, and so on. Even though those things are accessable via the config files of the game engine, or your own graphic card settings.

Going to have agree to disagree on this one. Graphics I feel would be even harder to balance than sound. This isn't an FPS game or something like PUBG where turning your graphics on low would give you a clear advantage, but for lighting sakes and what not I feel being able to increase lighting might give advantages for certain killers. Ghostface white mask or Myers might pop out like a shining star with some tweaked lighting settings. Another example would be tar bottle traps being just as bright as normal traps. On another note graphics refresh and what not could get the game looking better and improve play for everyone. Just everyone doesnt have a very powerful graphics card and not sure what everyone is playing on. This post is of course directed towards sound.

There's many things that changing the sound can do. Hearing footsteps, hearing breathing, ect would become easier and that would be heavily abuseable.

It's abused already if you have a decent to mid grade headset like I do. You hear that stuff and can tune it the way you. So letting everyone be even and able to adjust their own sound to their liking would be heavily abuseable? I get how did you know I was in that locker or things like that all the time. It's because of my high dollar headset. Everyone can't afford this or even want that. So is that fair?
