I'm a lower rank killer (hovering around 9) and I've been working on my archive challenges. I've played between 15-20 games in a row as killer and been queued against red ranks (roughly rank 3) in every single match. I understand occasionally having swf with higher rank survivors in my lobby but I've had multiple games with only red rank (or red and high purple rank) survivors. It's not even remotely fun to play against because of the disparity in rank and it's exceptionally frustrating to get to the end game and see a group of people that I have no business being matched against in the first place. I understand wanting to ensure shorter queue times but being matched against a group of survivors, especially if they're a swf, that are so much higher ranked just makes me want to dc from the match. It's not possible to get better at killer and actually rank up when the survivors I'm playing against are so much better than me.

    I hear ya.

    As rank 6 survivor, I kept getting yellow/brown teammates and green/yellow killer so I thought then I should get the same survivors as a lower rank killer (14) so I switched. Result? Got matched with red rank survivors. I'm so sick of this...

    On a serious note: I have no trouble facing survivors 6 ranks ahead of me because it is refreshing to have a challenge. On the other hand, some people are bad at the game and care too much about rank and I can see why they would be annoyed. With new rank reset everybody will be at red/purple ranks so there's that.

    The issue is that the people who frequently get to red ranks are the ones who are going to stick with the game no matter what. So you will see plenty of them. The casual players drop off due to DCs, bugs, the killer nerfs, etc. Now you have 3-5 minute lobbies when you play as survivor, and killers get lobbies instantly, but the killer's not necessarily playing against their own rank anymore, because there are so many survivors queued up.

    Yeah I know this problem, I que at rank 1 as survivor and honestly I genuinely dont know the last time i had another rank 1 on my team. Most the time I just get survivors that are in purple ranks it been getting on my nerve tbh.
