Please decrease the time it takes to bleed out

There is no reason for someone to be in the dying state for so long. I really think it just wastes time, not just for survivors but even the killer at some points. Another solution would be to allow survivors to kill themselves. I genuinely think the down state is something that needs to be re-evaluated since “slugging” has become more of an issue for survivors. I’m a killer main who uses the tactic often but I do play some survivor for challenges and do see the annoyance in it. I am not looking for arguments, just a serious discussion about your opinions. We can’t act like it’s okay for survivors to be on the ground for that long.

Also, since I know unbreakable will be brought up as an argument, my stance and experiences with it make me believe it’s not the simple counter, it only works once and you’re likely to be downed again quickly. If unbreakable wasn’t limited to a one time use my opinion would be different.

Being able to ######### while downed would just lead to survivors choosing that to either enable the hatch for another survivor, or even attempts to suicide on first down as they cant just DC.

But I agree, the downed timer is too long, it could be shorter to both put pressure on survivors to actually come save, and so the killer cant slug someone for three minutes to attempt to get their 4k.

And if changing the base time isn't a good idea, at least give killers a perk to cause survivors to bleed out 50% faster. It would be a pathetic perk, and only good in a few builds, but it would be an interesting option..

Not on board with this. There are many times when I've been rescued right towards the end of the dying state timer, and not because my teammates were too lazy. Seems about right tbh.

I already usually get a bleedout or two when playing killer as it is. Shorter bleedout would mean I would be getting a LOT of bleedout kills.

I agree there should be a suicide/concede for people who've been in the dying state for at least 30 seconds to a minute. Sometimes even with unbreakable, which can only be used once, you end up in a situation where you're slugged, there is no hope of all remaining survivors to escape and the best you can hope for is one getting the hatch.

In this situation the killer often slugs for the 4k and always argue that survivors don't "deserve the 1 escape" which is the most hypocritical argument because on the other end of the coin getting 3 doesn't mean you automatically deserve to get the 4th. Without the hatch, the last survivor has no chance of escaping and now that the EGC and hatch closing exist it is not a "free" escape either.

Not really, add a timer to it and that issue will never happen

I agree that it wastes time, but why does the pressure always have to be on survivors? Why not incentivize the killer picking the person up and hooking them, which is part of their job? If you want to slug someone to chase the guy two feet away, cool, but if you want to slug someone, down the other guy and just leave them on the floor the entire game, the timer shouldn't be decreased at all. In fact, I think if you choose to execute that "strategy," then it should be changed so that once a survivor is picked up and healed, the bleed-out timer resets, instead of continuing where it left off the last time you were downed. It should waste the killer's time just as much as it wastes the survivor's time. The pressure should be on the killer to locate them and put them on a hook.

Either reset the timer upon being picked up, or enable survivors to finish recovering if they've been left on the ground for 3 or so minutes. That is more than enough time for the killer to either complete the chase they executed when slugging you to begin with, or come back and hook you.

Decreasing the timer, as you've requested, would simply encourage killers to slug and never bother hooking a survivor.
