It's Time To Lower The Skill Floor On The Nurse
I'm fine with the nerfs to nurse. They were fair. Even the timer on her basekit. But there is a reason she has the lowest performance level of all killers now. She just isn't accessible to the masses. What I'm proposing is quite reasonable really.
- Make it so she can see where she is blinking to. There is a common add on called Plaid Flannel that gives this effect. Just make it part of her base kit and change the add on to something else. It's bizarre this isn't the default. When you use the add on you can see just how weird her blinking ability is to aim. Will I make it through the wall? Will I land upstairs? These aren't things players should have to guess at.
- Make it so she can cancel her blink with a basic attack like virtually every other killer. Every killer that it makes sense to cancel an ability can already do this. Nurse is the only outlier. Why is that? If Huntress is charging an ax and decides that it isn't in her best interest to throw it because the survivor has broken line of sight she can just put her ax away. It's time to give Nurse the same treatment.
That's it. Make those 2 changes and she isn't going to become some overpowered monster. But at least most players won't quit trying to use her after a couple games and her averages will fall in line with other killers.

I'd rather not remove the skill that learning blink ranges gives. Personally just see that as a good thing.
Blink cancel might be something if implemented correctly, since now after the addtition of the cooldown if she so much as presses M2 she has to blink no matter what.
The issue with her skillgap widening lies in the addition of the cooldown. Already you need to have a prediction level so high to be able to keep up with survivors as Nurse, so when new players try to read players and do their predictions, and because they are new they will fail so many times before they start to succeed, you punish them even harder with extra cooldown. This is why the learning curve just spiked with her rework.
Not that I have any hope these devs will rectify the situation correctly. Afterall, wasted resources is wasted money. Plus it seems they are quite happy with their work.
I don't get it, they don't want to balance for high level play, yet they actively nerf something because the people at the highest level were too good by their standards. Pick a side goddamn it.

I would rather get the bugs that further harden the life of Nurses fixed.
Sound issues, which make tracking extremely hard. This hits Nurse particularly hard, because she relies on tracking.
Several dedicated server issues where your blink ability can be taken away, or being cut short.
And lastly map design. The new Yamaoka map is full of dead ends, places where she physically cant blink through. This transferred to the old Yamaoka map as well, on the pavillion, and rare instances of jungle gyms. Other maps like Lery's Memorial Institute have oversized hitboxes for the Nurse. Where you need to purposely overblink alot to get past just tiny objects like chairs and beds.
While I personally I disagree with the cooldown added to her blink, I don't think they are gonna change it. Judging by their silence regarding any criticm, they seem more than happy what they did to Sally. So wasted breath to talk about it. I just want the bugs to be fixed.

She just needs some QoL changes such as:
- Holding M1 during the blink animation will cause you, when the blink animation finishes, to exit the blink performing a lunge attack.
No longer do you have to wait for the blink to end, then start your lunge. There have been plenty of times where the game is like, "Sorry, you pressed M1 during the last 0.1 second of the blink animation, so you won't lunge and hit the survivor that's plainly in front of you"
- FIX THE BLINK DEAD ZONES

It’s bug fixes she needs and be able to pass large objects easier... that’s pretty much it. Like actually making hawkin’s Navigable without add-ons.

No it isn't. That was her problem before. She was too strong and didn't require very much skill to be decent at her. You could put less than 100 hours into her and still have great games consistently. They just need to rework her or leave her as is

The real issue is they lowered her performance and made her harder at the same time..the blink cooldown should be either significantly reduced or outright removed..her addons are not really a threat any longer so they should have taken it slow especially when they have little to no nurse experiance themselves

No, i know where I need to blink... any nurse with practice does... the problem is you can’t keep up in chase unless you read the survivor like 4 times in a row.

Yeah, that would be awesome. I personally think the new nurse is viable and strong, but making her begginer friendly would be awesome
