Terrible player base?
I’ve played DBD for 2 years so I’m certainly not new however I played 3 games yesterday where this happened - 2 as survivor and 1 as killer.
Once I’d completed a generator in which I was injured I was running inner strength I got into a locker and the other survivor waited for the killer to come and pointed directly to the locker so the killer knew where I was? This ended in us both being sacrificed.
I also noticed this during a game as killer and I purposely left them in the locker and went for the survivor trying to alert me to their location.
is this just a coincidence or do we have such a salty childish community nowadays?

It's a bit of a coincidence that it happened to you three times in one day, but yeah, that's something people will do and pretty much always have.
The good news is, if you get a recording of it, it's reportable, since it falls under "working with the opposite team to gain an advantage or grief teammates". (https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/19450/game-rules-and-report-system#latest)
You should report them in post-game, and then send a ticket to Support with the recording. (https://support.deadbydaylight.com)
Good on you for ignoring it as killer, though. The best way to punish behaviour like that and make sure it doesn't happen again is just to not reward it.
