Why are vaults like this?
Why do you get rubberbanded backwards and sucked back into the vault just to get hit,even though you have 60 ping and its constant?I feel like it gets me hit like 50% of the time.

I think this is an issue with dedicated servers, happens with Legion too sometimes.

Happens to me on Yamaoka estate on PS4 sometimes vaulting some house windows. Not a dedicated sever problem

its just ######### vaulting.Like before vaulting changes it was okay.You wouldnt get sucked back in.Now tho,you cant medium vault without getting hit.Fast vault,you get sucked back and the killer hits you by the tip of his weapon just dumb

It's not an issue with the dedicated servers. I too notice that "rubberband effect" just after a vault (on console with peer to peer and green stable ping connection). In fact I watched a clip of mine yesterday and checked a vault frame by frame. I think it has something to do with the vault momentum the devs added to the game. With them vault changes they also added a rubberband effect which is particularly noticeable after medium vaults.

It's probably to do with where the killer sees you on screen with the lag.
When a killer goes for a hit and the hit boxes collide the game calculates it and due to animations probably pulls you back so it looks like it should have hit rather than it be too far away (this can still happen also)
It doesn't matter your personal ping as the killers one dictates when a hit will happen as they have the priority.

i think thats why medium vaults are that unsafe now tbh cause of that effect

Has not really to do with dedicated servers, I found the reason and the solution for that. I will do a post about that later

It does I agree. Dedicated servers need worked on a lot to be ready. Something has to be done to make vaults not be in favour of one side since what you see isn't the same as the killer. Priority is one thing but it makes vaults kinda pointless unless you are very far away from the killer.
It shows they are needed though as at the same time without them the killers ping can give them even more of an advantage being the host. This is why it's happening on consoles too.
