So it’s xmax eve...
Am I the only one that is sitting at home like are we going to have a Christmas event? Even just the snow and lights that were there last year ? On the menu screen , Unless they said they are doing a event and I’ve totally missed information abit even abit of tinsel on the hook Lol , last year was well cool has lights around the place snow on the menu screen items in the bloodweb this year we’re kinds just stuck with Bahh humbug

I find it particulary baffeling the devs actually called events "hard to do"..... like seriously? do you know at all how to make games or not? because calling adding a flower (putrid serum) or some skins to existing objects is NOT hard....

Unfortunately no event this year. The next one will probably be around Chinese New year, around the time the next rift comes out

Bit sad, I really enjoyed last year I would of rather a Christmas event then a Halloween one even thoe it’s a horror game makes sence, how about some bloodpints ? That can’t be hard lol all I’m favour for bloodpiints for Xmas :) say I entity :)

They've done Christmas stuff before, is it really that hard to push the button that makes hooks use the Christmas lights model again, at the very least?
Ah well, it'd probably disable all sound when your character faces north, and cause skill checks to be invisible at 3pm on Thursdays or some #########.

The lack of events is sad.
The last one was the Withered Blight or whatever, which I'm totally fine with, but the hooks didn't even reuse the animations, effects or sounds that they had from last year.
Like c'mon man why do they keep getting worse and worse :I

It's probably for the best, imagine what happens when everyone is off for the holidays and Nea becomes a killer that has every single power in the game at her disposal or some crap.

The most fun fact is that the last two Winter Solstice Events were appreciated and actually quite simple to do:
- Enable "Winter Party Starters" in Bloodwebs and Chests (the items are still present in the game: I still have a bunch of them from the past events).
- In the Bloodweb, replace Mystery Boxes with Gift Boxes and make their (Bloodpoint) prices lower and their rewards better.
- Put in-game Christmas lights on: Hooks, Barrels and Lockers (the Basement used to have them back in 2017 but they removed them last year for some reason)
- Change the look of the lobbies by adding snow and decorations.
I would like to point out that 3rd and 4th tasks (which are pretty much the major ones) are both on the Graphical Designing team which has nothing to do with fixing bugs + most of the assets required to add those decorations have already been in the game at one point so if they have a brain they should have saved them.
If they were aiming for a more interesting event this year, well they ended up not giving us one at all so going for the exact same type of Winter Solstice Event as the past 2 years would have been the best choice under any point of view.

Honestly with how many engine updates and menu coding changes have been made, no, it's probably not as simple as re-hanging the old lights sadly.
However, no Christmas poppers and present bloodwebs is a effing tragedy.

They're assets that already exist too, it's not like they got to the end of Christmas last year and just deleted the files.

You know, we did just get Chapter 14, plus 2 Xmas costume packs.
Sure, it's not a event, but jeez calm ya tits everyone. They've had to patch the Oni while releasing the new cosmetics, applying the assets to the new maps & any game changes like the Halloween event ain't gonna be as easy as flipping a switch.
