Is there any plans on updating rank system?

If i remember right there was somekind of a test while ago for some players where you had to either repair or do altuiristic only etc...

So is there plans for rank system? Was the test succesful?

Game is only encouraging you to do as many actions as possible for points and boom you get better ranks. Doesnt matter if you just let others die.

I know that its not easy to go and change it but now there is just so many people at red ranks and the skill gap is huge. Like i see people who are WAY better than me and then i see people who dont even know the basics of this game.

This is from survivor side im rank 2 survivor but killer just 6 so i cant really talk about killer side so much even tho i play it alot too..

    I don't think rank will ever truly represent skill in this game.

    Ranking up is big reason to play in every game. And its kinda sad that you get high ranks so easily without being so great.

    This is just my opinion. Its always nice to achieve ranks when you get better.

    Well how can you measure someone being great with all these variables in play? The system can't determine a good play from a bad one, just the stats. I could be the worst teammate ever and bomb every hook with BT. I can be unable to hit any hex skillchecks but I still stay on gens for a very long time. These things will still get you to pip.

    I don't think the altruism experiment had anything to do with the ranking system. That said, there are plans, according to the Year 4 Roadmap, for some kind of rank-related rework. We don't have any further information about it, but it will probably be happening in the first half of 2020.

    Exactly. I do well against red rank survivors as a level 9-10 killer. So either I am better than my ranking, or they are worse. Then in one game, I got absolutely decimated by some rank 15 survivors that had a few thousand hours in the game.

    As far as I can tell to reach rank 1-2 you have to play alot or be swf.

    Being good alone doesn't get you yo to rank 1-2 cause if killer sucks you derank not enough unhooks or chase or if your team sucks and they just die next to hooked guy same not enough chase gens or unhook.


    Yeah ranking doesn't represent skill only how much you play in a month or if your swf is good or bad and your luck of finding good players as solo survivor.

    But as killer it kind of shows how you play if you are campy lil b word then yeah u are not gonna get far but if you hook everyone hit everyone you will probably rank.
