Is this game getting boring?

I mean.. I'm playing in red ranks and it takes so long to find a match and if I find one its rank 2 rank 2 rank 3 rank 4 vs rank 9 killer. He chases for entire game while the others just sit on gens. And every single game is so monotone. Even as a killer. Chase, down, hook, chase, stun, hook. Its not satisfying anymore to do anything in this game. There are rare games when I actually get to have fun. Its when surv aren't toxic and actually are nice in chat. That is the best thing in dbd by far.

Idk man, playing as killer on Xbox is fairly simple and fun. You do get toxic survivors but I can still clean house of reds and not be toxic, tunnel, etc. I try my best for Jump surprises and tormenting them in a fun way. I get messages quite often about how fun I was to play against.

Some games are boring, especially with matchmaking so busted. Luckily I find my own fun in most games just screwing around

Yeah you see people on PC unfortunately aren't that excited to get "tormented" in a fun way hahah I mean I get you I totally do that to but then the comments are unbelievable xd and I would say 1 in 20 matches we get fun match etc.

Wow seems like people wait till 2x bloodpoints because there's no point in playing regularly😂

And honestly... you might be right

Yeah, I get it. I play the game for excitement and adrenaline. When I’m not the killer, I like to be caught off guard. When I am, I try to catch people off guard. I hate killers so I avoid them. But if I quickly expel a team, I let one go. Or if I realize I’m better, I drag the game on letting them get BP, probably let all of them escape, or take 1-2 with me.

It is a little boring, which is why I liked the addition of the archives.

It gives me more incentive to play as survivor than I typically would.

The extra bloodpoints are nice too.

I play on Red Ranks, NA XBOX. Its really fast q times for Killer. Usually decent matches, sometimes you'll get a amazing Survivor team, but most of the time its potato's :(

NA EST PC player here, I have stopped playing from burnout. I like the game, but I can only be the one random purple rank player in matches full of greens and yellows so much.

I've switched to Mordhau for now and I'm having a blast.

I used to have a blast playing. Not so much anymore. The game just isnt the same for me. It's not as fun as it used to be and honestly, I'm just not having fun anymore. I've stopped playing for these past few days and began playing other games. I'll probably come back for double bps but after that ends, I have no idea when I'll play again.

I still enjoy it, I admittedly don’t play killer much because killer is boring to me though.

I've gotten to the point where I'm only sitting down to play 3-4 times a month. I guess after 16 months, I'm just kinda over it. I'll play some during double bp weekend, but have really no idea what to do w them.

I think the "magic" in DbD is, that you need to play this repetitive game for 1k+ hours to realize you have just been in an endless loop the whole time.

Legit the only thing pushing me to play at the moment is getting that last charm in the battle pass, other then that I am indeed getting bored

I don't play it that much so I'm still pretty content. Probably about a couple hours every 3 days or so. I played the crap out of F13 and got bored really quickly so I made sure not make the same mistake on DbD.

I'm hoping this game actually has events in 2020 so you know this game can have some entertainment value

Nope I'm still learning new things each game but I'm not a vet so I don't know how it is for them.

honestly, just unpip out of red ranks so you can have fun playing all the killers with all types of build

you'll see it's very nice (even tho i stay in red ranks, for me it's not that bad)

or just take a break and come back later

the game itself is not getting boring imo.

though the thing that is boring are lobby waiting times - especially as surivor.

like, are there no red rank killers or what?

and failing at a challenge gets all the more frustrating due to that...

Sort of. The developers are either incapable of or refuse to change the fundamentals of the game in a meaningful, fun way for both sides. Four years have passed since the release of this game, and a lot of problems that were present then are still here now. Admittedly the game has gotten much better, sure, but the level of resources they're allocating to the departments that design/balance maps/characters (killer/surv) is drastically out of balance with their cosmetics team. It shows where their priorities are.

Yeah. Boring and even more toxic as challenges force players to go to extremes to complete it. I've seen people body block at end game for a chance to unhook.

A little bit. I'm going to take massive breaks in between rifts now so I don't get burned out. I'll come back for events, double blood points, tome updates, and new DLC.

Me playing for 2 hours a day is over though. I have a stack of backlogged games I want to get too and already have RE3 and TLoU2 on pre-order

If I'm being honest, I am getting a bit burned out from DbD. I've just been playing some Halo and other games just to take a break from it.
