Should killers that camp and tunnel be stunned for a period of time for basically taking the game ho
In the time I've played this wonderful game I've come across more campers and tunnelers as time goes by. Most of the time in almost every match there is a camper or tunneler that is there after getting the first person on a hook. So this game has went down because of this people DC because killers know they cant win unless they camp or tunnel to get the kill. Do something about those kinds of killers please

No. Punish it via doing gens. It sucks but if that's how the killer plays, that's how they play.
Also it's not a hostage situation because the game will eventually end for that survivor when they die. Hostage is when you're bodyblocked / must DC to get out of the situation.

How is the killer taking the game hostage? The only way a killer can do that is by somehow managing to bodyblock every single survivor into a corner. If he slugs, you will eventually bleed to death. If he tunnels or camps, you can do generators and eventually escape. Ever since Endgame Collapse was released, it's hardly possible for either side to hold the game hostage.

I don't think punishing killers who camp/tunnel is the way to go - they already get pretty punished because survivors can just push the gens and get out. Personally, IF this type of play is unwanted then I would find more ways to reward killers for not camping/tunneling, right now killers have BBQ which is great for this, gives so much information and BP, more perks that help with chasing and information would be great for dealing with this type of play.

They are doing What the have to do kill. Is like saying survivors should be stunned if they repair way too fast (OH WAITTTT).

I think it's better to go the other end and reward killers for not camping or tunneling. That would make it more appealing than punishment for doing said actions as it can be very frustrating and cause a unenjoyable gameplay.
Sometimes camping is required. I personally never have tunneled and try to avoid it, so I'm rather biased in that regard and think tunneling is not needed, but in regards of camping if everyone is there or someone is there, then sure, go ahead and stay there. It's fine.

but you expect them to just stay there and mash until they get carpal tunnel, because that's fun
nah, no thanks, move on to the next game. kill two birds with one stone if you punish camping pre-exit gate powered: fewer dcs, less awful solo surv experience, fewer campers
until then guarantee ill just suicide on hooks if i see a camper, surv queue is short, killer queue isnt, i can move on xD

Camping and tunneling are not fun to go against. New killers do it out of inexperience and seems higher ranks do it in an attempt to pip. It just sucks to go against. I don't tunnel now that I play survivor because I know how unfun it is and I play less sweaty. Plus it often happens to me as survivor because I am a weak looper, so the killer can see that and they tunnel me because they can't catch my friends.

OK so if I see all 3 survivors rushing the hook I should leave or I risk your feelings getting hurt and you suiciding.

People DC because they are poor sports. Period.
Most people know what can happen in a match (camping, tunneling, hex blown early, swf gen rush or sabo, bad map, etc) and they decide to DC because its not going their way.
I have seen Survivors DC on their first down, their first hook, etc... and then cry camper/ tunneler.
I have also seen Killers DC as soon as their Ruin blows, too many gens pop in succession, or if the exit gates are opened.
The problem isn't camping and tunneling, the problem is people's mind set when it comes to this game. Sometimes you will have good matches, and sometimes it will be bad. Just move on and try to have fun.
Yes, camping and tunneling can be abused (like everything else) but its a strategy and you cannot punish for it. More so, a lot of people call camping and tunneling for everything and don't take into consideration everything else going on.
If I see scratch marks around a hooked survivor you bet I am staying in the area to flush them out! Call me a camper all you want but I am not going to play dumb so egos can be protected.

Killers punish themselves by camping. If the team is smart they'll gen rush while the killer camps.

They aren't taking the game hostage. They already lose points for staying close to the hook. Its fine. GO do gens and leave. Thats the counter.

also who cares about gen rush, killers who arent low rank know they can be gen rushed, they do it anyways to ruin the game for at least one person

i think a good punishment for camping killers would be reduced point for the kill/sacrifice the same as when your points are reduced for a long chase, or give a bigger % chance to escape the hook if the killer has been facing you none stop for about 10 seconds.

I once got camped and tunnelled for like 4 gens, the other survivors are nice as hell, they keep taking hit for me so I could stay alive longer, but the killer still decide to chase me. I ended up dying and it wasnt fun, but I dont think because of that you should punish camping and tunnelling. It's like the same idea of nerfing swf by increasing gens time etc, they both hurt the game more than the game could benefit form it

Agreed. It’s a strategy and a crap one at that. It’s usually unskilled trash players who are new or just awful at the game. They End up playing themselves in the long run.

Yeah, they are. Gen rushing is just Survivors doing their objective as are Keys, and as is camping and tunneling to Killers.
