Btw, On The Roadmap...
Along with a new Tome & map rework, "Rank Rework 'Initiatives'" starts.
Also, "and more..." starts, though that might just refer to the next roadmap.

no console optimization yet :pepelaugh:

That's probably included with GAME HEALTH: Optimization/Crash/Bug Fixing at the bottom.
But i did hear it's slow.

It's called abandon current gen and work on next gen consoles.

Balance? Nah, more content!
They're digging their own grave by adding so much content before properly balancing the game. Sadly this is a recurring pattern because balancing the game doesn't earn them money.. these chapters do. And when the game dies out they just move on to something else. It's a proper business model nowadays.
Chances are DBD will stay alive for 5 more years, unbalanced, with more and more content added. Although I do wonder if they intend to release the game on next gen consoles.

Really hoping that rank rework includes individual killer ranks.

It's probably gonna be backwards compatible rather then actually released on the series X and ps5

But will it be 60FPS? That's the question. If not then why would next-gen console players stick around?
While they're at it, they should change the wiggling and struggling mechanic so it doesn't physically destroy a game controller every couple hundred hours of gameplay. The X button on my PS4 controller is already broken due to smashing it over and over. and the left thumbstick is having a hard time.

A slow rotation of the left analog stick and a slow steady press of x while in struggle is all that is needed. If you are destroying controllers then perhaps lay off caffeine a little?

It's an issue on keyboard as well.
The mechanic was originally designed to feel interactive but after a few hours it becomes a chore.
Personally I would prefer if they changed it to just holding a button instead as it really doesn't add anything to the game.

They 100% should, it's frustrating and physically exhausting during long sessions. And no, "it's supposed to be uncomfortable" is not an excuse. Gameplay should always take priority over any immersion, story or anything really, and this is bad gameplay design.

I hadn't seen that, but a rank rework could definitely help the game out and make it easier to balance.
We all know a lot of survivors on the red ranks don't deserve to be there, maybe we have a lot of boosted kllers too, which is why I don't take red rank kill rate stats seriously.
But if the ranked system is fixed, and players with thousands of hours get matched against each other instead of boosted players, we will be able to collect stats that actually matter.

Not true, I tested it in KYF and as a killer I can definitely feel the difference between someone wiggling slowly or rotating the stick faster. Also, if you press the button slowly while struggling it only takes a single "miss" of timing and you're insta-dead on the hook.
Keyboards are more robust than controllers, not to mention cheaper, they should've thought this through.

Maybe instead of having to mash a button to struggle, struggling is automatic and players could press a button prompt to give up and stop struggling.
A solution that’s easier on the fingers and less likely to cause accidental suicides.

This would most likely split the console playerbase if not kill it entirely. Plus it would make Queue times worse then switch since theres going to be far less players. Ntm people are going to have to rebuy the game and all their DLC and Relevel every character since cross progression isnt a thing yet

Stop getting hooked so much maybe

Oni wasn't supposed to have a map according to this. I'd take this with a grain of salt.

Most likely they mean a new realm.

When have they ever done anything that didn't amount to them earning more money? I know it's a business and all but if the only BIG content updates we see are just more stuff to pay for (ingame store and now rift) it says a lot. People have been asking for a new gamemode for the longest time but theu just wont put any effort into it because theu want to bugfix and "balance" their one gamemode first. Newsflash, if you keep breaking the game every time you update it you'll never be able to add anything new to it. These devs starting to piss me off.
