Good idea but then it opens up the opportunity to prevent certain players from receiving altruistic points. Say you don’t like someone for their in-game antics and you keep canceling their unhooks, that’s unfair.

stuff like that is already in the game XD dont like someone? dont unhook them
dont like someone? unhook them in front of killer

I think it's better to get unhooked and potentially get away than to be two hooked just because you don't like what your teammates trying to do.

Valid points. Then if a survivor has the option to cancel unhooks, they should receive a penalty to their sacrifice bar.

My suggestion awhile back was you can deny it when the killers within a certain range. You dont get the option if the unhooker has borrowed time and the game will more favor hitting the unhooker when the killer swings at you both. (This might already be a thing ive noticed the invincibility frames are alittle longer).

A trick I use is use the hooked survivor as a punch bag. Bait a rescue, and the killer usually tries to swing for you, but I quickly move, and they hit said survivor, momentarily stunned and free to unhook to give a protection hit. Doesn't always work, but a lot of killers I go against are so kill hungry, they seem to always go for it
