Kill Switch update: We have temporarily disabled The Legion due to an issue that allows for infinite power spam. The Legion will be re-enabled once this issue is fixed.

Terminology used in dead by daylight

Sandbagging : purposely disrupting another survivor to put them in harm of the killer

Entitled : a word used when you want to make your argument sound snobby and nasty

Overperforming : the devs used it to justify a nerf so that means I should use it to make my arguments look more valid than they actually are based off my own experience and not hard data, like recent perk usage stats (I'm still praying for them)

Potato : a term used to describe someone who's gameplay replicates that of a new player that could potentially put the team at risk. The potato may not know that their actions are detrimental to their success and require love and nurture

Bbq and chilli : blood points

I think you meant DS = Decisive Strike, not "DE". Might want to edit that.

I have no clue what all these loser terms mean but people throw them around all the time.

    Also:

    • Gentapper - When survivors go off and on a gen to avoid skillchecks however are still slowly repairing it
    • Immersed - Typically a Claudette with Urban Evasion that evades the killer at all costs and doesn't really do anything but hide all game
    • Jungle gym - Walls with windows.. I guess
    • Baby - A nooby survivor/killer
    • Slugger - A killer that leaves a survivor or survivors on the floor
    • Gen jockey - Suggests the survivors have no skill and were simply rushing gens
    • M1 killer - A killer that doesn't have a good ability and is kinda easy to play against. They aren't great when looped.
    • Reverse pallet drop - Drop the pallet on the killers side and stun them
    • Flashlight save - Saving a survivor with a flash (when they're being picked up)
    • Bodyblock - Can be used the same way the sandbagging term is used, but is generally used as a way of signalling to body block the killer.
    • 3 genning - When survivors have left the 3 gens too close together or when the killer is heavily patrolling 3 gens close together.
    • Dedicated hit - When a survivor gets hit when they don't think they should have due to bad server ping.
    • Pretty good job so far - Often used when something buggy is going on.
    • Fake legacy - Used to refer to someone using hallowed blight cosmetics.
    • Vacuum vault/pallet/hook/pickup - Not really used anymore but used to refer to mostly survivors being able to vault a window or drop a pallet despite being quite far away.
    • Respecter - Survivors use this when describing the killer at pallets. If they back away from pallets when THEY think they're gonna be pulled down, they're 'respecting' the pallet. Survivors can use this info to perhaps get another loop around since they respect.
    • 4% - When a survivor yeets off the hook by unhooking themselves. They may also want killers to 'respect the 4%'.
    • Fake - Survivors may 'fake' window vaults in the hope the killer falls for the bait and lunges into nothingness. Survivors could also fake other things like unhooks, pallet vaults etc.
    • ... then there's shack, cow tree, main building, bus, basement, tractor etc which are callouts to SWF teammates... but I'm not gonna list all of those and they don't really need an explanation anyway.

Forgot pallet gyms, t-walls, z-walls, infinites, safe pallets and unsafe pallets

Pallet gyms- has a window and 1 pallet with 2 possible spawns.

Z-walls - just stay away from them, they always have a window and are really bad. Good for an easy lithe but still bad.

Infinites - a spot on a map that takes minutes to hit a survivor.

Safe pallets - unmindgamable pallets that the killer is also normally forced to break. Can't be won with bloodlust

Unsafe pallets - very likely to get a hit in and are generally easy to mindgame. 9 times out of 10 you will be hit unless you stun and gtfo. Don't need to be broken
