Whats up with wraith?
So reading through his description on his outfits and lore they mostly go back to the car crusher, except for his archive outfit. It describes him haunting the woods and murdering people who wondered in. It doesn't sound like a trial since hes taking clothes from his victims (Tho Leatherface took faces so ig it wouldn't be impossible) but more importantly it mentions "homes" which im fairly certain do not exist in the realm
"Garbs taken from those who ventured too far from their home"
This means that the entity didn't force him to become a killer, so why did he?
According to his lore he only has one purposeful kill, that was his boss and it was to avenge all those he unknowingly killed. Then he was killing people in the woods (we dont know if he had powers at this point) then the entity took him. With this timeline there a pretty big hole between him killing his boss in a fit of rage to avenge people he killed, and him lurking in the woods killing for...fun?
I know theres lore spread out all over the internet (I just recently found the descriptions of some of the DLC characters from some guys perspective that's not in the trials, idk why they stopped that) so is there anymore information on wraith out there?
Also as I was looking for info i found out from one of his cosmetics that he apparently sings and it attracted the nurse. That doesn't fit into any of this i just think its amazing

Wraith becoming a killer sounds stupid to me. He avenged people his boss made him kill, then he kills innocent teenagers in Entity's realm. This does not make sense to me.

I would pin this down to possible inconsistent writing or something to that effect. Remember, Wraith was one of the og killers therefore his backstory description is also one of the oldest, and the direction of his lore has most likely changed over the course of these past couple of years as the game has evolved.
We could speculate that his Archives cosmetic may imply that he wasn't immediately taken by the Entity after killing his boss. Murdering a man who 1) was the owner of the scrap yard, thus a potentially well-known person in town, and 2) bribed the cops to ignore his own immoral actions, means that the Wraith could've had the law and whoever was associated with the shady stuff his boss did on his trail for, in a way, inconveniencing them (the cops aren't getting money for ignoring criminal activity, and the associates can't move on with whatever illegal business they do). Yes, it is simpler for the Entity to take the Wraith right then but why make his story that straight forward (hell, look at the Trapper's backstory description and then compare it to his lore from the Archives, I wasn't expecting that much depth behind it even if it doesn't seem like much). Perhaps the Wraith was laying low away from those seeking retribution and he eventually had to get rid of the people who recognised him as 'the man who killed the scrap yard owner' out of desperation or further necessity to save his skin; maybe they did wander too far in their search for him, or maybe he had to go out of his way to lessen the possibility of having someone know of his whereabouts, who knows? But this is just a theory I thought up as an example. Either way, I cannot wait to see where they go with his lore.
And as for the cosmetic's text about singing and the Nurse, I assume that this was written simply for fun and partial fan-service considering Wraith/Nurse is a well liked pairing among fans. So that's 99% non-canon unless Behaviour proves me otherwise (and if they do... then I will play Nurse for an entire month seeing as I'm trash at her and on console too. I'm decent at Wraith so Nurse is more punishing, but I digress).
Also, to the person who says that Wraith becoming a killer is stupid. Yeah, it may not make much sense with what we have right now about him, but we have to be patient and wait for an elaboration. Even the Plague becoming a killer doesn't make much sense either as she didn't even physically kill anyone. We could say that she killed people by proxy as she carried on with her Priestess duties while beginning to suffer from the plague and unintentionally spreading it amongst her followers (as well as leading a group of the very devout to their unfortunate demise in false hope to be saved). But that basically morphs into another topic entirely (and again, I can maybe use examples of the Trapper's lore to back up that even with the killers- excluding the licensed ones- not all is as it seems with them... or most of them, because I refuse to believe that the Clown's got something to explain his... tendencies).

Clown is just a dirty mother ######### tbh, he does come from an abusive home and actually showed signs of being soft at first, also intelligent so i think there is depth to him, but its depths of an ODB
Anyway, for Wraith i assume he did go into hiding after murdering a crime boss (he was actually probably a smaller guy working for bigger guys who were probably pretty pissed and looking for revenge, assuming they could even figure out what the hell happened) so it would make sense that hes hiding in the woods and i think it would even make sense for the entity to take him and give him powers, forcing him to play the trails. What loses me is according to that outfit he was killing random innocents before the entity took him. Maybe he just snapped, hopefully well find out. I also refuse to believe that the Nurse Wraith Ship isn't real, in AMAs we actually have conflicting answers about what the killers do when not in trials but i mean according to in game lore we only got one answer and it says that Wraith and Nurse are lovers. Also Oni mentors Spirit, Ghostface is worshipped by legion and Hillybilly and Bubba are like brothers. If that's not true i dont want to know the truth

Yeah, that's just my distaste for Clown shining through as I dumped my thoughts.
And to uh, elaborate, I meant that these innocent people that the Wraith may or may not have killed could have been people who recognised him and would have told the law- therefore leading him to dispose of them before they could do so. I know a line in his backstory says he was never seen again after fleeing the scene, and yeah this could mean that the Entity took him, but it could also be that those who did see and/or recognise him never lived long enough to alert the authorities (then the Entity could've taken him after some time). I should've been more clearer in my first comment considering it's all "bribed cops this, potential associates that, all coming for the Wraith" etc, my mind's running a mile a minute with speculation and such. And doing something as drastic as murdering people to get away from being caught for another murder in desperation, of course, could severely affect his mental state further. (I will also apologise if anything I say somehow confuses things more, I have a lot of thoughts meshing together regarding the lore)
I'd love it if the next lore, tome, thingy was about the Wraith. However I'd appreciate it being on any killer, thought after this conversation I'm anticipating the Wraith a little more at this point.

His archive outfit leads me to believe that he wasn't killing for any reason once he was in the woods, he carved a mask out of wood so i dont think anyone would recognize him and the "Ventured too far from home" part really makes it seem like its just random people. But the more i think about it the less sense it makes for him to be a killer without his powers. Maybe it was in the woods where he got the Bell or maybe he did some ritual in the woods that gave him his powers, i think hes African and he writes ######### on his bell from the add on so there has to be a significance to the culture around it. The question still remains, why?
Also if i had to guess, just randomly off the top of my head taking nothing ive seen into consideration because even if there was a leak i dont think were allowed to talk about it, i think the next tome will be......David, Jane, Spirit and Doctor. Just a hunch. But i really want to learn more about Wraith, maybe next time. Hell maybe this time, nothing is set in stone

I totally get that. And hopefully all (or almost all) will be revealed in time. As for the powers and stuff and how it relates to everything, yeah, good point honestly. It'll be good to know though. I say I have something to add but even that's beginning to stump me (and trying to talk about lore while sleepy isn't exactly ideal).
Aha, I've seen all the talk about who's next :') I know I said that because of this discussion I'd like to see Wraith but I will admit that I'd be over the moon if it was Doctor (I love most of the killers but I have a bias for Doctor). Either way... I crave that lore, Behaviour... a mighty, mighty need.
