What's wrong with a small percentage of this community?

I was in a game where the killer was AFK, did all gens and this 2 man party decided to t-bag the AFK killer, once the last gen popped he had noed and guess what everybody died but me so I left as I didn't want to die and he was patrolling all his hooks so there wasn't a chance for me (EGC already started).

They invited me to a party and basically told me to go and die a horrible death in a car accident because I couldn't save them, people need to seriously grow up 😠😡

Report them. I play on PS4 and it's insane the amount of hate mail I got before completely blocking messages and friend request. I also got invited to group chats by salty SWFs before.. None of them ever threatened me with violence though, just salt

I'm glad you added "small percentage" in your title too many people on here act like everyone they encounter is like that.

Sadly I wouldn't say it's a small part of community this is most survivors I run into taking every super serious an being toxic whether they win or lose...best just to ignore them

Probably either really immature or just children, who don't really understand the impact words can have. They'll eventually grow up and most of them will get their act together. Like you said, this is a small percentage of the community. You do get insults from normal people as well every now and again, but I tend to jot that down to them being overly emotional or just talking trash - in this case I'll reply "gg, fun match :)" and move on.

The unfortunate truth of the current society we live in. People are just far too serious over a game. Personally, if I know I'm about to lose, or I'm the final survivor and the killer's darting for me, I kinda just mess around with them. Usually gets me out for free too!

I main killer an I do usually let the last survivor go if they dont give me a hard time at the end . Like you said at the end of the day it's just a game we play to have fun

Report them knowing you did the right things as the community and gaming in general is better off without these types.

I find DBD to be a game where some people blame everything except themselves for any loss.

Maybe if they didn't rush in you all could have looked and got the totem giving a higher chance of saving. From reading your post its clear you made the smart play in this scenario.

Don't follow party invitations because you won't be able to report these people. If they want to send you death threats, they'll have to do it in written form and then you'll have something to report.

If you don't want to deal with this stuff at all, deactivate the after-game chat/messenger service on console.

Also, from my experience it's not only a small percentage of people doing this, sadly. That's why nobody except those on my friendlist can send me messages. I had to change the settings only because of DbD. Tells you a lot about this community.

Same here. Most of the time I have it so that only friends can message me. I've never had to do this with other games... The community is absolutely terrible. Just my opinion, though.

I'm guessing you already know this after your ordeal but never accept a party invite after a bad game. That's just opening you up to harassment. It sounds like you are on console. I play both xbox and PC and PC they would just say that stuff in end game chat, only console needs to invite you. I hope you reported all of them, not just in DBD but on their accounts as well. This game attracts very toxic, immature, and yes, underage players that have no impulse control. Don't entertain them is the only solution.

Sadly, there are toxic people in every gaming community. Definitely report any and all hateful chat though.

Honestly even if they weren't patrolling the hooks I would have let them die anyway. They were t-bagging the afk killer, they 100% deserve to die for that when they could have just escaped. Just ignore morons like that, they deserved what they got.
