Wanna cut toxicity?? End Game Chat needs to go...
It won't help 100%, but it will help some.
Of course, there could be a financial reason not to harp on toxicity when being the most toxic game of all is part of your appeal.
Nah. The Devs love us.
Surely.

People will still go out of their way and DM you.

You can hide the chat by clicking on the button and use the report system for any toxic behaviour.

Just hide the chat and everything will be ok.

You can actually turn off the chat on PC.
Xbox and PS4 can turn off notifications outside of Friend's List.

Hahhhhh apparently you've never been on PS4

My favorite thing about dedicated servers is that the chat doesn't say when you have left because killers aren't the host anymore. It makes me smile ot think of all the people who have ruptured a spleen yelling for whatever reason at no one.

We don’t have it on console and I set my messages to friends only due to messages from people. People hate losing and get mad salty.

I don't have made many bad experiences with the endgame chat. I really like the endgame chat. The only bad thing for me concerning the endgame chat is, that the actual archive task lays always at the beginning of the endmatch screen, over the chat.
The only really toxic experience I have made with dbd was after I had defend the Legion in the Steam-dbd forums, to pre patch Legion times.
Shortly after that I needed to set my profile private because of some very toxic survivor mains there, that obviously couldn't handle a opinion that was different to theirs.
Still, I like the endgame chat and hope that he will always be a part of the game... Just please bhvr, put the archive procress pop up on some other place of the endmatch screen. That's all from me.

On PS4 I have to have my messages set for friends only. Only the really salty people will go out of their way to send me a friend request to say something, which makes me feel like I accomplished something. I only played COD for 10 years before meeting this game and never had an issue receiving toxic messages until now, it’s sad. People even report me on PlayStation for bs reasons and I’ve gotten 2 warnings about my profile LOL. Dbd community is next level

I mean... if you don't want to see the chat, that is the obvious solution. A lot of people like the feature, and use it for good and productive things, so removing it altogether isn't necessarily the best idea. An opt-in system like we have now, which allows people like you who don't want to see the chat not to have to see it, is a much better way of going about it.

Or just leave match after it's over.
Or, and this is gonna be a mindblowing idea, dont let it bother you and move on? Its people you dont know. On a game.

Wanna cut toxicity? Fix the game.

But it will be open the next time you start playing again. There is no reason, to have it there.

Umm why? Not everyone is toxic and I had lots of friendly conversations in the chat before. Turn it off or you know, don't get offended by what some random person tells you online.

This is my experience as well. Most chats are just ggs, nothing or generally nice conversations. Be friendly, don’t take everything as an attack, and move on from salty people. You will get racist and unfriendly people, but that’s life, most are just having some fun on a video game in their spare time. If you really have horrid chats all the time turn it off, problem solved.

I started out having friendly discussions in this game after a match, but it swiftly turned toxic and now that's all I've gotten from people since.
I turned my messaging off on the PS4. After someone sent a friend request only to comment on the match, I then turned off the ability to receive friend requests.
People take this game way too personally. It's awesome to be passionate about it, that's understandable, but if you're that salty about a match... it's time to put the controller down and get some fresh air.

Everyone has said this already but literally just ignore it. Or hide it. You have the means of blocking every single one of your profiles from comments and DMs so do it if you can't handle mean words.

I feel like pc players would be more inclined to go to your profile and comment everything they didn't let out in the game chat
