exit gates should always be opposite of each other
sometimes the exit gates spawn so near each other, you have no chance as a survivor in the end game collapse anymore. they should spawn everytime on the other side of the map to 1. give the survivors a little chance and 2. make it more a fun mind game like this.

Usually when I play killer and the RNG gods put the gates super close together, I let the last survivor go. It is every unfair, and needs fixing.

I'm okay with increasing the average distance between the two gates, but always making them spawn on opposite ends is a bit much IMO.

- Survivors already have multiple chances when doing gens, finding the hatch first and the myriad of second chance perks they currently have. They do not need even more "second chances" after they've already had 10.
- What you are suggesting isn't making it a mind game whatsoever. It's making it a free escape for the survivor. The survivor just hides near one gate, waits for the killer to check it and then opens it before he can return after checking the other one.

I agree with you. Lorewise it also fits,since the killer must always earn his kill,he must earn it when the gates are ready to be opened. Putting them so close to each other is just unfair

What if the time to open was related to the closeness of the gates? ie. If gates spawn close they take longer to open. The problem I see is always having them opposite each other gives the survivors more information. If they see one gate during the match they automatically know where the second one is.

The Exit Gates don’t need to be opposite each other, but need to be sensibly spaced.
I understand that the Survivor shouldn’t be in favour of escaping the 1 vs 1 situation, but when the Killer can see both exits from simply turning on the spot then something needs changing.

I agree they shouldn't spawn too close to each other, but being that far away from each other is too much. If you know how to mind game the exit gates that's a guaranteed escape if you aren't playing against trapper or the killers isn't runnin whispers.

What about exit gates where survivors have repaired 5 generators & then get no chance to escape due to the gates being too close together with a killer running NOED? This isn’t just about the last survivor who has failed to repair.

Just find and cleanse NOED, then. If the Killer is camping the gates, the Totem should be safe to cleanse. If the Killer is trying to defend the Totem, you should be able to open one of the Gates.

That was just an example. T3 skilled Myres where the exit gates are too close is a huge advantage for a killer who has failed their primary objective.

Not really? If there are multiple Survivors, they can just take turns opening the Gate and outmaneuvering the Killer until one of the Gates opens up. Not even Nurse or Hag can be in two places at once, so at least one Gate will always be unprotected to some degree.

Maybe for a SWF but most sole survivors aren’t able to coordinate this.

I don't think you need to be particularly great at the game to understand when the Killer is patrolling two super close gates. If a teammate can't figure that out, that's kinda on them, not on the game.

This second chance claim is nonesense. Yes, survivors have plenty of chances trying to escape

- Exit hatch
- Exit hatch with a key
- Exit gate
However, giving the rare situation that the exit gates spawn close to each other is like not giving a chance to escape at all, so why even bother having the exit gates like this. Everyone who has ever been in this situation knows you have 0% chance to escape and the only way to escape is if the killer wants to let you escape, which is exactly what some have stated here they tend to do, becuase even they know it's unfair situation for the survivor.
Go ahead, make a test where the survivor tries to win 2 close exit gate situation against a killer who runs between the two gates to check on the survivor trying to open the gate. I guarantee you, 10/10 times the killer will always catch the survivor, there is no mind game, there is no chance.

You are right. It's almost impossible to escape during EGC as survivor.
Nevertheless, I don't think the change of gate spawns will fix the issue.
I see here 2 main problems which prevent the escape of a survivor.
The first one is a hatch spawn location. Usually a hatch spawns close to one of the gates, so survivor can't use the 'camping gate' tactics.
The second one is the fact that any killer can bring Whispers to the game and camp the gate while Whispers is active. Probably the killer will find the last survivor even before EGC.

Point 2 is a massive over simplification. You can put anything in terms like that. All you have to do to never get hit is watch what the killer does at the loop and run the other way, dropping the pallet when they get to close.
But it's not that simple. There's tricks the killer uses to make themselves less predictable. Doubling back, moon walking, faking powers (for some killers) hiding the stain. Various perks and powers. Same thing would apply. If survivor just waits for you to leave, then maybe you should leave and then double back and check again to confuse them.

No, the same thing does not apply at all.
In your scenario if he does that and you were at the other gate then he just let you escape, which is why he won't be doing that.

stop trying to make everything in your favour, sometimes exit gates will be impossible for killers and sometimes easy for them, thats life
