OoO and SWF with huntress.

How do you counter this combo when playing huntress? I'm trying to learn her but for the last 10 games or so, I've been versing efficient SWF teams with OoO. I play in purple/red ranks and have no margins for fuckups.

In one scenario I try to go after the OoO user. However, they tend to move to safe areas and keep their distance. This means I lose precious time due to her slow base speed. They easily dodge long-range hatchets (I'm not awesome and they are prepared).

In another sccenario I ignore the OoO user. This results in a very optimal play where generators pop to the left and right. It is evident that they feed their teammates with information on my whereabouts which makes it very hard to gain momentum.

I'm just looking for a viable tactic to cope with these games as I'm not very strong with huntress (yet). I wan't to stick to my guns as I generally find her gameplay to be very rewarding and fun. The games I've had as of late has not been of the sorts though.

I don't know about any tactic with her. But in my opinion the best thing you can do against a 3 or 4 man swf team with OoO is playing as ghostface or wraith, juggle and sneak up on the OoO user whenever you have the chance. You will see them, but they won't be able to see you.

@Xerge Thanks for your reply :-) Although it doesn't really solve my dilemma, I'm indeed very tempted to go on a killing spree with Ghostface.

OoO with SWF on comms is busted. Simple as that. Unless you play a true stealth killer like Ghostface or Wraith where OoO can backfire.

If you know you are going to face that kind of team you can equips some add-ons and perks that could help you deal with it better. But you just never know.

Its incredibly unfair and there is no magic solution to it. Do your best and don't let it get to your head. There is no shame in losing a rigged game.

In my case, when I see survivors that are swf with OoO I just, you know,Dodge the lobby. They are pretty easy to spot that they are swf imo

Honestly, SWF with OoO is kind of unfair really. If they are smart, unless you play a stealth killer, or Nurse or Spirit there really isn't anything you can do to stop them reliably.

As others said, Huntress' blind add-ons can do some damage. Personally for Huntress in general I would recommend map offerings. She can be a beast, and almost reach Spirit's level of domination on the right map. Autohaven, and McMillan are the best for her.

Practise with Huntress until they regret to bring OOO to the trial

As a trapper main, I understand the pain of OoO.

There's no specific tactic against it. Every team is different. You gotta adapt. But never go all in in one tactic. Try to juggle the OoO with everyone else.

How would you even know they have OoO?

Iirc Umbra mentioned this in one of her streams that OoO against a Huntress is usually a guaranteed loss due to how strong it is against her.

I nvr knew you mained Trapper after all this time of seeing you post.

You could try using something like Monitor. I remember having PLENTY of teams using OoO to be able to screw me when I played Myers, only for the perk to be rendered useless due to Monitor increasing your TR while in chase. Increasing Huntress's TR might help alleviate abit of your pain from OoO. They're still gonna be able to see ya from far away, but it wont be nearly as useful mid-chase.

I don't bring it up a lot, and what I mean by main might be different than what other people mean.

I still play 50/50. And I play most killers. I just play trapper more often than the others 🤷‍♂️

It's fine I play a bunch of killers too mostly Pig, Huntress, and Spirit. I usually just play the side with the quickest time to get into a game.

I find bringing an Iridescent Hatchet will quickly end the game against a SWF.
