New Ruin changes are good BUT...

this perk needs to no longer be a hex perk. I know it is supposed to be Hag's thing to have hex totems as teachables but this simply is no longer strong enough to be a hex. It is a good perk don't get me wrong but it is designed to be a late game perk (according to the devs own words on the post) yet it is still a hex totem perk meaning that it will almost always be cleansed before it starts working. If the devs don't change this to no longer be a hex, then they should most definitely buff it massively (double the effect multiplier)/revert changes to old ruin. I would love to hear if there is arguments against my view though and will be happy to listen to/discuss with you all on this post. :D

what I don't get is why it's 2% why not just the current 5% for the new ruin

Fair point but there is still the problem of it being a hex perk that will be cleansed before it is useful.

I totally agree as a killer main. This effect connected to a totem is bullcrap. I feel even the effect is really small, but connecting to a totem what rarely survive more then a few minutes...

The perk change in itself is highly unnecessary. In its current state, its a strong perk but only in the first few minutes, when the totem wasn't found yet. Since survivors often spawn next to those spots or know them already by heart, its just a question of time when they'll stumble over it. Atm its a stomper perk for noobs and a slight delay for experienced survivors.

The change...this change will make it low threat, high risk, low reward. Why searching for a totem and delaying the game if I just need to keep sitting on a gen no matter what? (Which experienced survivors already do. They'll repair in a killers face and risk to be downed to finish it, don't you worry). If its a totem on top of it, its not only weak, its basically a meme.

I get this for sure but I feel like these changes should be made to force the devs to see the data on gen speed vs average down times without current ruin. The devs need to understand why 80% of people brought the perk instead of assuming it was just for emblems as early game is already hard for most killers that aren't top tier. Perhaps the devs will actually look into it and change gens to require us to find an item first to begin repairing it where you have to find a gas canister or something so it can be started then repair it at current speeds. This would mean that gens cannot be repaired until they are fueled and there will be limited amounts of fuel to go around where you have to wait until a filled gen is repaired for more fuel to spawn.

That is just an idea I saw someone come up with a long time ago so they don't have to touch gen speed directly btw.
