So and so (insert streamer) doesn't need Hex... my reply, they don't whine about it either

I keep seeing people say things like, "Otz doesn't need Ruin to 4K you are just bad," okay let's go with that it's fair to say we could all improve as killer.

By that same logic though, Otz, Puppers, Tofu etc don't complain about Ruin they just work through it. So dur dur you should just get better at hitting checks.

    Then just get better like them... otherwise you’ll be dropped to a rank more appropriate.

    But you cant complain that you only lost because Ruin was broken early (early can mean from 30 seconds up to 5 minutes in the game, from my experience) when you dont run it! :(

    But they are new survivors players, they can't be expected to learn how to hit skill checks and, y'know, learn to play the game like everyone else has. That "Ruin is oppressive for new players" argument is so bullshit. You know what else is oppressive for new players? The killer's existence in general, as it should be. It stays like this until the new players actually learn how to play, and realize the killer isn't as scary as they seem to be, just loop him for 2-3 gens and bam, EZ.

    Hitting skill check is not difficult, just depends on my feel and focus that day. Some day I can hit every single skill checks even the 4 o'clock one, some day I can't hit sh*t to save my life.

    On the off day I found ruin annoying, but I never once goes "ohemmgee, Dev effing nerf this abomination of fricking perk". The patch note is really telling what is the direction they try to bring DBD, they try to gear it towards new survivor players.

    What tells you that isn't what happens? High rank survivors can power through because they spent time in lower ranks learning.

    So high rank killers can win without Ruin and high rank Survivors can win against Ruin... tell me why Ruin needed changed then?

    The devs explained their reasons. It's evident that, from their pov, in low ranks survivors struggle against Ruin much more than killers against gens. Also having 45-80% of matches with Ruin makes the game feel stale.

    Low rank survivors also suffer from being matched with red rank players, but they still haven't fixed that?

    Low rank killers struggle with BT, DS, Adrenaline and Dead Hard just to name a few and they are sick of seeing it over half their games.

    Well their POV is bollocks. Plain and simple. Especially since they tried to gloss over their real reason (survivor enjoyment) with some bullshit excuse about Gatekeeper emblems. Nobody gave a ######### about that. Killers used Ruin for two reasons. To slow the game down to breathe a little bit, and give map pressure to killers that lack it. This is going to result in killers playing far more cutthroat and sweaty than they ever have before, and I look forward to watching the fallout from the sidelines.

    Also. Speaking as someone who played nothing but survivor before I quit the game, ruin forced me to get good at hitting greats or to run hex finding perks. Now survivors won't bother with hitting those because they have no impetus to get better which will end up making the game feel even more stale. Lol.The devs are obviously out of touch with the enjoyment of their killer players. Fully evidenced by their biased dev announcement and focus on "survivor frustration" without even stopping to mention why killers might be feeling frustrated or annoyed.

    You know what'll really make the game feel stale? 35 minute queues. But I guess if their idea of removing the ranks from the tally screen go through they can quietly shutter matchmaking without any flak.

    Now this is just whataboutery...

    One thing doesn't exlude the other, and in any case you omit that 2 of the perks you mentioned have been nerfed (BT and DS). Stop pretending only killers get nerfs.

    Thank god the one thing that made the mind-numblingly boring task of repairing gens somewhat difficult is getting nerfed. How can I zen out as a survivor if I'm having to stay alert to try to hit great skill checks?

    Now, not only do I not have to worry about Ruin slowing me down, but New Ruin will spark if I stop working on a gen, reminding me that it's better to just leave my teammate on the hook for a little bit longer so I can complete this generator rather than stop working on it, especially since that teammate gets like 2 whole minutes on the hook and gens only take 80 seconds. Thanks, New Ruin! You're a pal.

    If you cant win as killer without Ruin you would derank but developers stated that Ruin changes was made for 20 rank survivors (aka noobs) so why dont nerf some survivors key perks like DS and BT to make game less frustrating for 20 rank killers (aka noobs)??? They admit that game is balanced arount rank 20 so opinion of red rank killers and survivors should not be listened.
