We need reward for playing the PTB
The PTB is basically dead, because you are not getting anything from it.
I think we should get skins in the normal game for reaching a certain level in the PTB.

Lolz, our reward is for testing out major changes coming to the live game. Even better that it's the first time we really test out a new Chapter before it's fully released.

I don't think it'd be fair - I mean I play DBD on PS4 and PC - if I got something for playing the PTB id like it on my PS4 too which wont happen. Im glad I got to play the new content before anyone else tbh

PTB is not mandatory. You choose to try out the new changes before they get implemented; that's a reward per se. We all love treats, but let's get real.

But people really need an incentive to play the PTB its basically dead after the first day, because it's just a waste of time if you don't get anything from it for an average player.

The incentive is to actually try the new chapter, item shop, and balance fixes before they are actually out. That is a gift to the people because when the content comes out there will be less issues on release making it better for everyone. I'm enjoying the PTB, but everyone is disconnecting and you can't find a killer game.
They tried out the changes and characters for day and they left, because there is no incentive to playing it, your save from this PTB is going to get wiped anyway.-4 -
Then stop playing it! You're playing a video game, not putting in actual work. There's no need to be compensated. If getting to try out new content for free isn't reward enough for you then don't play the PTB. Simple as that. Thousands of console players would love to be in your shoes.2

@theagitatedapricot I'm telling the point from an average player ffs, you can ask anyone that is playing on the standard game in the discord lobbies and they will tell you they don't get anything. I really don't care if i get free skins from this PTB, I can just buy them with real money, but people know their save is going to get wiped so they are not going to play more than a day.

It was kind of a sardonic remark.In fact, for example, Overwatch Public Test server is always full of VOLUNTEERS who, for sure, don't expect random rewards and spontaneously give feedback to help devs.

Believe me they will . if I had the ptb on console right now I would just play ptb . plus you get your hands on free currency and you can try different cosmetics in the game to see if you wanna buy it in the live game or not . I made a topic before and I said why console players shouldn't get their hands on new content at the same time and every PC player disagreed saying we are just testing it so bugs get fixed and then you come up with this idea that you get a skin for playing ptb which means you get exclusives again . don't we have enough exclusive cosmetics for pc .Zodyy said:@HIPSTERLION do you think people care, they don't get anything so they won't play. The whole point of the ptb is for us to help the developers test the game/iron out bugs. Getting compensation for that would be missing the point.

The PTB is to test new content and give feedback so everyone gets proper content in the live version. If you dont go in with the intention to test mechanics then dont waste the devs time and stay in the live version.

No one really needs you to test it out, there are tons of people testing it.
The reward is trying to out before it actually releases.

The Public Test Build is there to help us test new content. We massively appreciate every person that takes the time out to do that. I will point out that nobody is obligated to play the PTB - it just gives us a chance to make changes, fixes and improve the overall performance of the game, so that everyone can enjoy it on the live build. We would love to be in a position where we could offer even more, but we are working tirelessly on balancing/fixing, and creating the best player experience that we can for everyone. What would you suggest as a "reward" for playing the PTB?
