NEW Ruin or Old Ruin with easier skill checks for brown/yellow ranks?

It seems as if devs want to nerf ruin because skill checks seem to be difficult for casual players (majority of the playerbase). While I understand catering to your playerbase is important, why not just make skill checks easier for brown and yellow ranks? And not significantly easier just a little bit. If it was up to me, I would leave ruin how it is right now along with other buffs. However, if casual players struggling with skillchecks so much is the premise for devs nerfing ruin, making skill checks slightly easier at brown and yellow ranks resolves that issue for them, and leaving it the same for green, purple and red ranks doesn't change skill checks for players who play a lot/competitively.
PS - when I typed harder skill checks for higher ranks for one of the options, I mean the same as it is right now, just easier for brown and yellow ranks. Thought I'd clarify that because I cant edit it. Thanks!

The only thing with this is that some people may argue that it is unfair that a red rank gets harder skill checks than a green rank for example, yet the rewards for being in those specific ranks are the exact same. It could lead to high rank survivors deranking themselves to have it easier and to bully low rank killers. They need to address how weak Hex: Ruin is early game if they implement this change because it is generally gone within seconds of the match even starting. They want it to be stronger for late game pressure, but most likely it won't even make it that far modt of the time.

Also if I actually had to vote in this poll, neither of these options are good in my opinion, but of the 2 the harder skill checks for higher ranks is currently better than the hot mess they are trying to implement now.

I agree, which is why I think it would be best to have ruin be the same difficulty for red, purple and green. And if they DC to get to yellow or brown let them be penalized with DV penalty.

True. If it was up to me I would rather have ruin not even be a hex and maybe have it last for a certain amount of generators, or even have a timer on it. But the reason why I created this poll is because I think having easier skill checks addresses what devs are worried about, which is casual players having issues with skill checks. I feel as if separating skill check difficulty solves issues for casual players, and at the same time doesnt nerf ruin for players who play a lot more/competitively at higher ranks.

Rank doesnt mean much, therefore basing a perk on it doesnt make much sense. Rank 1 survivors' skill differ vastly and its already top of the rank.
Personally, i agree that ruin needed a rework, but the current version feels too weak.

True, there isn't a lot of consistency in rank. But according to devs, there is a lot of consistency with casual players suffering from skill checks. It seems that is the reason for the ruin nerf. Which is why I suggested easier skill checks for casual player (not like a DS skill check or anything, but just slightly easier).
If it was up to me, I would have ruin skillchecks be the same across all ranks, because I dont believe players can get better otherwise. However, I could be wrong because it seems as if devs are stuck on this idea of casuals really suffering with skill checks. So I thought this idea could cater to casuals but also not nerf ruin for people who play game a lot more or competitively.

they really fail everything ... I believe that even with the advantage given with the change of ruin, they will still fail the skills checks..
