red ranks. its not all about you.
the game isn't all about you red ranks. the ruin change is good for the game over all. at the end of the day red ranks, they already have your money and your the most expendable group. FACTS

The game should be balanced around red ranks, not brown ranks. But the new changes dont seem too bad, after watching the streams from the PTB.

Actually no it's not good for the game, tell me how nerfing the weakest killers in the game and buffing the strongest killers in the game is good for the game. Nerfs the weakest because they have no mobility tools to pressure gens properly and make 0 use of new ruin, buffs the best killers because they never needed old ruin in the first place and can make amazing use of a perk that rewards them for being everywhere at once. Tell me why that's good for the game please, don't bother because I know you have nothing. This entire time you've done nothing but ######### on killers for being angry over something they damn well should be angry about, you deserve to get ratio'd into oblivion like all of your other posts

BHVR has their money up to this point, but DbD is constantly releasing new content to buy. The red rank players are the ones who consistently continue to play the game, so they're the ones who consistently put in money. New money comes and goes; it's consistent, loyal customers who keep a brand alive. Brands that forget that and treat long-time customers as expendable fall.

Alright kid, let me explain a concept called trickle down balance.
Red ranks are supposedly the best of the best right?
The ones who know the game and have spend a lot of time and effort to get where they were.
So what can we infer from that?
HMMMMMMMM
Probably that they know the game a lot ######### better than a rank 20, novel idea I know.
So, if something is balanced for the highest players then it should be balanced for everyone else.
Pretty simple concept.
And before you fall on "Well ruin makes it hard for me at rank 20."
Well yes, it's a strong perk at high ranks, but hmm, if only there was something you could do about that, if only there was some phrase that survivors tell killer mains all the time.

Let's not forget the Small Game Perk it actually still exists. Map's, Horrible totem spawns. Because let's be real its not hard to find it. but you know rank 20.

The game is NEVER about red ranks. If it were then there would be actual incentives for being there and dealing with the BS that comes with playing with people who KNOW how to play the game and exploit the mechanics that are imbalanced. At the end of the day, what happens there still trickles down to the rest of the game and community, Einstein. The game is not hard to learn or reach that level if you put any effort into getting good at the game. But guess it's open season for camping, tunneling, and moris before they get nerfed too so enjoy feeling expendable in game.

This change is actually good for red ranks overall tbh.
That said, it never was about the red ranks. If it were, a lot of god loops would be destroyed instantly, as well as some killer mechanics.

Well said. Too many people have the "well I can do x so everything is fine" mentality. No everything is not necessarily fine just because YOU are ok with it. There are other ranks to consider.
New players do not know totem spawns. There are a lot of maps and a lot of spawns. New players struggle with GOOD skill checks, expecting them to hit greats is crazy. Hitting greats is probably tricky for most players too.
I care for the good of the game. Yes I am worried that killers turn into filthy survivors and I desperately hope that the devs quickly address the gen speed without reverting Ruin. What we don't need is another bullshit perk that can be the difference between zero kills and 4 kills.

Have you heard about "Trickle-Down Balance"?
If not, see this video, it will help you a lot understand how to properly balance a game. Unfortunately, devs aren't doing it :/

Let's change map size then, it's good for the game overall for new players.

Didn't know you have to be red rank to hit skillchecks....
It's just a matter of practice. That's why I don't get this Ruin change at all. I learned to work through Ruin way before I got to red ranks. It is just something you'll learn over time if you play regulary, there's no actuall skill required. The word "Skillcheck" is just dumb imo.
As killer I play a lot in green or yellow ranks and even in these ranks people work through ruin, because they play the game regulary but maybe not regulary enough to rank up.
But even when playing in red ranks as Survivor you'll get teammates who still gen tab or just run around the map to search the totem. They ranked up faster than they learned to hit skillchecks, or maybe never even tried to learn them.
Hex: Ruin is only 'overpowered' against people who don't play the game regulary and don't have practice in hitting great skillchecks. This perk basically thought me to hit greats.
For me it feels like they are balancing the game for players, who don't play regulary and personally I dont see any sense in that. If I'd run a company, I'd care about my base customers the most (= people who play on a regular basis). That's the main reason why I don't see the sense in the change of Ruin. Everyone, who can hit greats, learned it over time. It is nothing too difficult and nothing impossible imo.
