Why ruin rework is very good for the game.

First of all i want to point out that this perk isn't and won't be dead after rework. It's a really good change not only in aspect of less flustration on survivor side (witch was mainly the point) but it is having a really good usage on fast pressuring killers. (Legion, Nurse, Spirit, Hillybilly, Doctor) Maybe it won't be as good as before but it will be a solid perhaps even better option on some killers i've mentioned above.

But the main point is, we will finally see more diversity among our killer builds. That's a step in right direction. I know that in red ranks ruin is a need, that most bottom tier killers can't play without it. But killers are getting updated and more and more won't rely on ruin as much as before. I'm Hope that devs will release more perks that will grant more slowdown in the beggining of the match, because currently we have only 3 viable options. Corrupt intervention that works every time, and Ruin and Pop if you apply preasure and succesfully hook survs (with is really hard, cuz recently theres a trend to release very big maps, and your only Hope is to get one of the old ones).

Overall, that's the step by right direction. Now let's Hope that sevs will updated some overused survivor perks, updated the old ones someday, and this game will be much in better spot. I believe in you Devs!

Admittedly, it won't be dead in the sense that it will be useful on a limited number of killers. But it will be useless on a greater number of killers that relied on it to prevent genrushing which is not only easy without Ruin but one of the best way for survivors to survive so it would be stupid to blame them for doing the obvious.

The only survivor perk I hope devs update is We're Gonna Live Forever to where it's as easy to gain stacks as it is for BBQ. If the blooodpoint advantage that killers have over survivor disappears so will the only reason I play killer more than survivor. Then I can play in easy mode and laugh while I get all the bloodpoints I need.

it would have been good for the game if BHVR had the brains to adjust gen repair progress. The only "diversity' you're going to see in Killer builds is how many play top tier killers and use the most toxic perks available. Ways to end the game in as little time as possible without needing to hook each player thrice will become the new gold standard and Survivors aren't going to like it.

The problem is you're going to see less diversity among killers. Trapper players relied on those extra 45 seconds to a few minutes of survivors trying to find Hex ruin to set their traps. Now that's gone. You're also potentially just swapping one perk for another(Pop for Ruin). It could lead to less diversity in Killer builds.

It does still amaze me that the entire crux of this boils down to survivors telling killers "learn to play better" when the change was only made because survivors don't want to hit difficult skill checks. All of this "git gud", "learn to adapt", "figure this out", "do that more" could all be turned right around with one retort, "learn to hit difficult skill checks".

Just because a perk is decent on already strong killers (except legion who's just bad) doesn't mean it's good. Also, the major protest isn't due to the ruin nerf, it's something more important...

"more diversity in killer builds" could've made sense if it wasn't hypocritical, as survivors like to run the same 4 perks consisting of BT, DS, Adrenaline and DH/SB

It may be good in the long run, but currently it's a horrendously awfull decision, they addressed ruin but forgot to address the reason why it was used in every match. I wonder what'll happen now that gen speeds are still ridicolous, but we have no way of countering them at all ?

Would have been a good change if they addressed WHY it was in 80% of matches...

was it good for the game? yes

was it good for the current state of the game? no

they should have addressed the major issue ruin was used to fight before removing ruin.

What else do you expect survivors to run? It's kinda like those are really the only perks survivors have besides maybe ironwill and some meme builds due to every other perk being #########. And out of those perks you listed, adrenaline is really the only super strong one.

the problem isnt ruin getting removed. the problem is ruin getting removed without adressing the issue it was a band-aid fix for.

But survivors can allow themselvs for more variety in thier builds due how they don't depend on perks as much as killers are.

If you are not how about you don't reply like a child who assumes stuff because he thinks he is always right?

Oh , wait , maybe you are the one farming comments? Hmmm...Looks like it if you just comment without thinking and not adding anything to the thread other than spam.

    PS

Maybe you can go somewhere else and do something else with someone else else else?

But really , go somewhere else and do something else , your comments are childish as hell.

    Jesus christ these children...

    Edit:

    An actual P.S:

Learn english. "brace yourself" is not something that can mean anything else other than "prepare yourself". But if you already know that , then how in the holy ######### did you assume from it that I am someone who cries about ruin nerf? I really want to know how your little brain works, it's fascinating.
