Trapper,is he up for a change?
Trapper is one of the weakest killers right now. He and wraith clearly need a rework. So are they next? What would you change?
I would add at least the 1/4, of the traps to his hand,in order to make him somewhat viable. What about you? Let me know down below :3

Trapper is fine. imo
I thought he was weak, but after doing the Archive and learning him I would argue he is solidly mid tier, with a higher-than-you'd-realize skill Ceiling.
Once you get your build down and figure out good trap placement he actually can snowball pretty hard. Then you just start to get creative, and learn ways to really throw the Survivors off with your placements and make them worry there are traps everywhere.
He looks like the standard "Beginner Friendly"-type, but he's definitely harder to use and master than most people realize as many immediately label him as the "basic" starter killer because he's free and junk. I did it myself. But I don't believe that now.
If they made it so he starts with 2 traps and can carry 2 at a time by default he would be good. Maybe even great. 🤷♂️

I think it would be enough to change only one thing: Let him start the game with all of his traps.

At the very least he needs to be able to carry more than one trap without add ons.

Make him able to have all of his traps at the beggining of the match, then, looking for them wont be such a chore and you wont have to waste such a massive amount of time looking for them.

Either he starts with all his traps, or all his traps are active the moment the trial starts

Trapper change:
Bear traps break when survivors receive assistance with removing them. They will respawn after 3 minutes.This change was made due to how unclear it was to survivors how the traps worked.
Increased trap placement time to 6 seconds, as he was too strong at loops.
For balance! Trapper can now carry two traps by default, but he starts the match carrying 0 and all additional trap add-ons have been replaced with status effect add-ons. When a survivor steps in his trap, they are inflicted with either hemorrhage or blind for 10 seconds after escaping the trap by themselves. They do not receive these effects if another survivor assists them.

With OG Ruin gone. You are looking at about a 2 Gen sacrifice just to set up 4 traps

Give him the ability to summon a trap from the ground to his hand from any distance with the alternate action button. Maybe with a cooldown (30 seconds?). This would allow him to guard an area without having to leave it and go across the map to get another trap.
Alternate action can reset unarmed traps while standing over them. Just a quality of life change. Maybe in addition they could fix traps moving around when triggered.
Can carry up to 2 traps by default. Bag addons adjusted accordingly.
Escaping traps is no longer RNG and instead is a meter you need to fill. 12 seconds base (affected by perks and addons). This would make things less frustrating for both sides.

I feel the only change necessary is to allow him to start with 2 or 3 traps in his bag at the beginning of the game. Otherwise, I find him to be fairly strong.

Too many times have I set up nicely in one area, only to look at the other side of the map and see a trap around absolutely nothing... it would help a lot
