What made this community that toxic, in your opinion?
I know, this is an online competitive game, it can't exist without people who would make it their life goal to ruin your mood. But there are a lot of online competitive games and a lot of players describe the DBD community as the worst. Why do you think this game contains THAT much toxic players?

The reason why is because old dbd has so much unfairness between killers and survivors. A few hints to how unfair the game was to killers was brand new parts where it allowed you to complete gens in an instant, and keep in mind they still kept 5 gens. So if every survivor had brand new parts and simply tap the gen, they will already have one gen left in less than 20 seconds into the game. Keep in mind it was approved by the devs.
As for killers, there used to be a thing called Chainsaw Myers where you basically have the power of hibilly and Myers in one. You have zero terror radius and can instant down people. Not to mention how stupid the appearance of chainsaw Myers look where you don’t know rather you should laugh or be pissed that this was part of the game mechanics.

developers are def out of touch, they killed Death Garden and are in the process of killing this game with their lack of direction
Other games are coming out that look better and are far more active for the survivor/killer role.. multiple objectives, minimal hide/seek time wasting elements, and survivors can do far more than just hold M1

some survivors became entitled and decided to complain if they don't get they're way. in such making killer's try to outplay them and try hard, but that only made the surivors more toxic. etc. etc.

It’s a competitive game that’s unbalanced which causes anger and frustration. Frustrated angry people lash out and behave toxic, which is what you see today.

a lot of people are either entitled and think that they deserve to get 4ks every game or to escape every game. also, if anything mildly upsets anyone in this game its always the games fault and never their own skill.

I don't disagree the devs are out of touch.
That being said, everybody says a certain game has the worst community. I've heard it about Undertale, League of Legends, Call of Duty, Minecraft, FNaF, whatever. Not all of these can be the "most toxic," people just like to blow things out of proportion.
The reason this community is toxic is because human beings exist in it and play the game. The humans you constantly see regurgitating this "you're a survivor/killer main so you are automatically this, this, and this" garbage.
