If there are 4-5 gens and 1 Survivor still alive....

The game isn't over till its over every second playing is meant to be about hunting or escaping.

The hatch is there not just to stop games from being prolonged but also a way help players. You could do nothing wrong and the rest could throw themselves at the hook. Run in your direction so tou cant complete a gen and do nothing while you get chased and lose the killer multiple times.

It's a way to keep the match engaging until the very last second much like the gates system after all the gens are done.

Imagine the same scenario if the survivors did complete all gens. Should the gates auto open or should it just end the match with escape point being granted?

You can't call the hatch a free escape if the survivor doesn't get it 100% of the time. lol

you’re not entitled to a 4k if you aren’t smart enough to either find the other survivor or slug until you find the hatch. utilize the games mechanics.

then don’t. and risk the other survivor finding the hatch. lolol i play a lot of killer and i just shrug if the survivor finds the hatch with only a gen or two done. like good for you you did nothing 😂

I see... I also think removing completely is too extreme and there`s no reason for that... perhaps adding some other variables, like boxes that may have the key in it, like when you vs the pig for example, would be better than giving it for free imo... Would make it more dinamic.

The real reason there will always be a hatch is because it takes 4 survivors to every 1 killer in order to even play a match. That makes survivors 80% more important to the game than the killer. Bhvr will always give some hope of escape to survivors REGARDLESS of whether it is "fair", "deserved", "free" or "entitled". It's just the reality of keeping the player base interested in playing the game.

Firstly what the actual ######### stop getting so mad when you don't 4K because of hatch. You already won.

Secondly I agree killers should have a clear advantage on the EGC, but guess what, that already happens. You find the survivor? You win. You find hatch first? You win. You have Whispers? It becomes like a 1% chance the survivor will escape.

Honestly the devs should just give a score event for the killer if anyone escapes through hatch, maybe we'll stop having these annoying daily threads here.

It has been proven by people like true that if you don't 4k your most likely going to safety even with 4 gens left as that probably means it was a quick game with not a lot of hits so you would need a 4k to pip from that point

The reason the hatch spawns for the last survivor is not because they did nothing all match, it's because their team did nothing all match. Too many times I've been working on my gen, getting saves, outrunning and outlasting, only to be the last one with 4 gens left because my team was that bad. If you don't like it close the hatch and camp the gates, they'll be on the same wall anyways.

Well, I had games where teammates killed themselves on the hook, and I should still be able to escape so the hatch should spawn with 4 gens. 5 gens though I agree
