Ruin and Gentimes are fine and here is why

GIve killers compensations for the Ruin nerf or you find yourself losing another thousands of players next patch.

I played 4 hours of survivor last night. Had about 10 games total and none of the killers were red rank.
Over the past week or two I’ve gone up against maybe 5 or 6 red rank killers. They have already begun leaving if you ask me. Too little too late.

I stopped playing the game for awhile and came back to being around rank 12. I've gotten up to rank 9 so far and have constantly been put up against red and high purple ranks. I don't know if it's a matchmaking issue or a player base issue though.

It's because of the rank reset changes and how matchmaking works for swf combined it'll get worse over time.

To anyone that thinks gen times are fine, do the math. You need 12 hooks to kill everyone. An average match in high ranks is allegedly 5-7 minutes. That's almost 2 hooks PER MINUTE!

And to get 2k you need 6 hooks, that's one hook per minute, plus the odds being in your favor; coming across the same survivors you've already hooked.

A 2k with only six hooks would basically just be a killer tunneling 2 people for the whole game.

Well, I was just thinking, maybe killers are indeed the power role; they have ebonys which are really strong. You could camp and tunnel someone right off the hook and take him out of the game, but I know that killers have been used to play nice and by some moral code that survivors and other killers came up with.

I am definetly gonna leave if this ######### stays like that because I play low tier killers mostly with an exception for Freddy but playing plague or Legion or GF will be a pain without ruin

Stop complaining about a perk that hardly works for a minute, and accept that gen times arent an issue at all (killer main strawman).

Ruin didn't work much in high ranks, but New and Low rank killers needed it. If the Developers care so much about new survivors and their fun, they should care about new killers.
And yes, generator times are an issue. If you're fine with it, that is okay, just don't get mad when you get a string of killers tunneling you right of the hook, one after another. Don't get upset when you see the same killers over and over. And don't get upset when your queues get longer and longer.

Actually ruin is quite important in red ranks, 80% use rate isn't there for nothing.
Unless you face players that ONLY hit great skillchecks it slows down the game good enough for the killer to do something.
On a site note, Ruin prevents great skillchecks bonuses which can save another 10-20 secs on a gen.

When I said useless in red ranks, I meant that Red Rankers usually find the totem pretty fast, but yea, I stand corrected, it has some use.
