Why do pig players tunnel people with bear traps?
We just played a round with a pig. She would put trap on, but if you tried to play the game and remove it, she tunneled every single person. She also tunneled off hook. She ended up losing, but it’s a strategy I’ve seen a lot of pigs do. Why is this?

That's a bad Pig. There isn't much incentive to chase a trapped person (unless they're being dumb). Trapped survivors will focus on getting their party hat off before doing anything else.

I'm pretty sure you don't have to "chase" a survivor when you put a trap on their head as pig. You just kind of stalk them. You know a survivor with an activated trap is going to head to boxes, and you can hear the doll on them laughing if it's not the correct box and you're close enough, not to mention the grunting of the survivor using the box if you already know they're going for one. Plus, letting them successfully get it off makes it so one of your traps is now permanently gone, and with it all of the threat that it gave -- and you only have so many traps.
I'm not saying it's exactly the most efficient way to play the game, but not letting a survivor finish a box while their timer is ticking down and constantly harassing them that way is a decent, albeit scummy, way of taking somebody out the game (kind of like a fresh off the first hook mori.)

Bad Pigs relying on cheap/easy tactics. I played her for awhile (though GF stole my stealth/crouchable heart), and I really tried to not do this. Of course there'd be a odd match where someone got under my skin and the Survivors snowballed on me, so I had to fall back on it.
But any Pig player worth their snoot will not tunnel the trapped players.

Pig is designed to accommodate tunneling and very cheesy tactics. It's incredibly frustrating, and it's why I am done playing against her. No other killer has bothered me this much, but any match with her has been a tunneling mess, RNG nonsense, and just been generally unfun.
Not to mention they always end up being the most toxic post game.
Just no more; I can't deal with them anymore. Unless they get reworked a bit down the road someday, I am not playing as one as survivor.
Edit: Now as KILLER, sure, because I actively don't tunnel, and I don't use the traps as a method to tunnel either. Usually I don't do too great but it can be fun for both sides; even survivors have told me they had fun post game even if they died. So she CAN be decent, but a majority of people choose not to, and it's not just noob Pigs, I see people with 6500 hours and such cheese with them and act poorly.
