The issue I have with Dead by Daylight
Coming from a player with only 400 hours, I play DbD casually. Even still, in past seasons I've climbed into red ranks and stayed in at least Purple. But recently, all joy has left playing the game. The survivors keep being survivors while the killers keep getting gutted and feel almost pointless. The only thing people have to say usually is 'Git Gud', but wheres the fun in having to play the game perfectly as a killer, using only meta perks and the best killers while I have 4 survivors, messing around the whole game and still easily winning the game.
I don't think I'm that bad, but recently I've been getting 0 kills every game, and the joy of the game is just gone. I want to love the game, and I've tried. But I don't main the best killers, and it just feels like the entire game is pointless for a killer main

What killers are you playing? Why not try others?
For example, I have great matches with Myers, Hag, Spirit and Doc but I do terrible as Trapper or Wraith.

I main trapper and freddy, while using clown and hag a bit. I want to main bubba but that's impossible, which sucks because his by far my favourite killer aside from Trapper

Also, do you get matched with survivors of your rank or close? Cause matchmaking has caused a lot of trouble lately.

Oh not at all, I'm a rank 8 that only ever gets matched with rank 2, every single game, So they just loop me around every safe pallet every map

This is why I quit killer until matchmaking is at least close to working order. I don't really play for the kills, just for fun, but with matchmaking as it is right now, it's taking so much fun out of killer sided games for me. Red ranks usually gen rush, which in turn, ends the game pretty fast and isn't a fun experience, or, brown/yellow ranks that are so easy to down I feel bad for them. Playing survivor right now and being matched to Green ranks, despite myself being Red ranked, I've had a fair few killers DC or just flat out stop moving in the middle of a match. I feel sorry for a lot of lower ranked/skilled players right now. Most times, if I find a killer who struggled because of the ranks, I'll stay behind and let them at least get me as a kill, so they get something from points. I just hope this matchmaking stuff gets fixed soon, because I keep wondering if it's worth playing anymore right now

Honestly thats just how I feel, theres no point playing the game if I can't have fun. I don't care the amount of kills I get, but I do like the back and forth of games that feel balanced, and at least with the current matchmaking, that just isn't there
