Are you gonna take away Doc's weapon now?
What's next?

Next, i think, is more people playing doc and enjoying the character.. like Freddy pre- and post - rework

Enjoy him? He's the worst killer in the game now

Thats why he is getting reworked, genius

I used to enjoy the old (still current) Doc. I tried the PTB and I doubt I'll be playing anymore. They made him weaker.

What about elaborating instead of whining?
WHY should he be the worst Killer in the game?

The thing is, a lot of people said the same thing about old and new Freddy. However, post-rework we started seeing him in game a lot more. In the same way, the Doc rework will probably upset some people like yourself, but based on previous experience I expect this re-work to be appealing to a larger portion of the player base in the long run

3 second cooldown after using his ability, delay on shock therapy, his addons that have affliction at tier 2 and 3 are pretty much useless now, snap out of it puts you back in tier 1, missed skillchecks do not reset progress bar, stopping does not reset it, you can perform an entire action without getting a single skillcheck by tapping it, finding survivors in the beginning of the game is harder now

Oh, I'm sure his popularity is going to grow after the rework and that some (many?/more?) will enjoy the new Doc. Not sure about the ones who used to play it on a regular basis.

Lets wait until the update go live. I was pessimistic about it, too, but youtubers show that its not bad. Well, I need to try it myself to believe in it. Nope, I wont be testing it at test server, because I dont play this grindy game for free.

He is far better off with the rework
Once they change the 3 sec pauze after the shock and the delay in the shock which they said they would this is clearly a buff

3 second cooldown is getting shortened, delay after shock therapy was a bug, Shock blast is a free + 1 tier every 60 seconds, with addons it can put surviviors into T2 instantly at the start of the game, so thats why snap puts you back in T1. Snap skillchecks is the only nerf he got, but failing it still makes you scream and does -25% to the progress, so you cant fail them all the time. Tapping makes actions way longer and isnt a viable strat.

The shock therapy delay is bugged it should be a 1s use which is nothing.
The 3s second cooldown is being reduced as its too long and does feel like an m1 bug and clunky but to what we don't know yet.
It resets to tier 1 as the blast can now put you up a tier. This is probably to help with the 3 gen scenario Doc was always best at as the blast is more powerful when used than the field.
Snapping out change makes sense as missing one skill check and having to restart for one meant you could go down due to not being able to mend in tier 3 unless you found another survivor out of madness. Tapping will take a bit longer than doing the skill checks so not worth it.

They said nurse was "fine" too

they said delay is intended(it was 1.25s now it's going to be 1s), shock blast only affects survivors in your tr, 25% of progress is far worse then entire progress and it can be paused, tapping it is only about 2s longer

Static Blast is very much an improvement to Static Field IMO.

true, but it need to go live for a proper judgement.

If it goes live that'll probably be too late

Not really as if we take gen tapping it can add up to 70% of time over the default doing it right.
Using this we could can say tapping should take around 20.4s. You would need to miss at least three to four skill checks to make it around the same as its 25% of progress done so far so it may only be 1s lost time if you miss the first one so tapping is not worth the it when you can get out without missing any in 12s.

In the PTB his cooldown is wrong in length, now way in hell he is the worst killer in the game even with that one issue. Anything in a ptb can be changed as its a TEST server for a reason

The only doctors who will be hurt are those who relied on static field with distressing + addons to constantly put people into t3 to stall the game. Small maps like all the indoor maps + coal tower had him covering near the entire 'effective' map (ie the gens you need to work on).The improvements to the chasing part (which I feel more important) is enough to raise him well above clown/wraith and possibly legion.

Have you actually played him on the ptb? Or are you bandwagoning?

"Fixed a bug where the delay after Shock Therapy was ending prematurely. The delay shall now last the intended 10 minutes."

Well, they got rid of ruin... Let's see... Franklin's could be next. or Noed.... in fact, maybe just all perks? Survivors don't like it if you use any of them anyways so, just assume if survivors hate it, it will be gone soon. If killers love it, really expect it to be gone
