To people complaining about new Hex: Ruin
Just accept and change your perks before you go on here and say: "I'm quitting", "Survivor matter but killer not" and things like that. Corrupt Intervention, that is actually better that old Ruin, Pop goes the weasel, Thanathopobia and Dying light. I'm not saying that you're a baby killer, that you shouldn't complain, what I'm trying to say is: Wait before the Ruin get changed, try to play without it or change perks. They reworked Ruin (I think they actually buffed it, but needs to go live before saying that) but didn't nerfed Killer, is simply just a perk
Just be nice and try to not kill me, let's just discuss very "My little pony'ly" (If that exist) :)
Ah and I'm not a surv main, play both sides equally

I'll agree with the exception of thana. That perk is trash and is ruined by people who bring we'll make it and med kits.
6 -
I know it, but it still is a thing and Dying light is also trash, but same thing with thana

Plague and Legion might be an option for it, but thats it. On the rest of the Killers I simply dont understand why people are wasting a Perk Slot for Thanatophobia.
@Topic:
If you are a Killer who can put the Survivors under a lot of Pressure, new Ruin can indeed be better. If you force Survivors into altruistic Actions by hooking and downing people, they need to leave their Gen, which results in Regression. Which is a pretty decent concept, not gonna lie.
I think the main point is that you, as Killer, most likely dont get any feedback, what new Ruin is doing. You cannot hear missed Skill Checks, because Survivors will most likely dont miss them.
I just hope that Killers dont go for that massive Slowdown anymore. Because Tracking and Chase Perks might be even more useful than Slowdown-Perks. And I also think that especially the combination of Ruin and PGTW (which is used a lot) is quite frustrating for newer players - you struggle with the Ruin Skill Checks and then the Killer comes around and removes a lot of progress you have done.
(PGTW is the better Perk anyway. AND you have to work for it)

so speaking of which, when are the 4 horsemen perks of survivors gonna get nerfed?
Adrenaline
Dead Hard
Desisive Strike
Unbreakable/Borrowed-Time
17 -
Dying light works better in my opinion.
2 -
Problem with Dying Light is that it also buffs one Survivor. So if you want to go for Slowdown including Dying Light, you have one Survivor who can negate Sloppy Butcher or Thanatophobia. And who also does not give any stacks while being hooked. Only really an Option on Plague IMO.

Most killers can't apply effective pressure because they lack a kit to do so. I can't chase 4 survivors at the same time unless I'm playing Hag. Try playing a killer like Ghostface with the new ruin, you'll get gen rushed in oblivion.
1 -
Adrenaline, BT and Unbreakable are fine
4 -
Adrenaline is fine? I can´t with you😂
5 -
On the first bit - Thanatophobia is actually a pretty interesting perk. In my experience it is effective not because of the actual slowdown effect, but the psychological impact it has on some survivors often causing them make irrational decisions. The perk itself doesn't materially slow down gen times, but seeing the red bar when working on a gen and the status icon on the bottom right corner of the screen tricks many survivors into thinking that they need to heal in order to speed up progress without realising that by doing that they're actually slowing down the game significantly more.
Put on sloppy and you'll see many survivors practically throwing the game spending ages healing each time you slap them.
Of course, competent players will completely ignore it, but surprisingly it works more often than you'd think.
2 -
Claiming new ruin is in any way superior to the old one is tremendously false..corrupt is also quite overrated..and the other slowdown perks dont do much and in the case of dying light especially require too much and has way too big a downside..and all but corrupt dont help with the very issue ruin was used to solve
7 -
The difference being that Hex ruin made people move around the map to find it. Corrupt, people just hide for 2 minutes without having to worry about moving.
I think the answer is obvious. We need to buff survivors so they can never be injured or downed.
4 -
A perk that heald you after you complete the objective, OP. Self-care OP too?
2 -
SELF CARE IS OP DEVS PLEASE NERF
in all seriousness, Try playing killer with a 4 man Adrenaline. It gets annoying
9 -
Please explain how Corrupt is even close to being as good as Ruin? It can only last for 2 minutes at the max, and people will just hide for most of that. Ruin can be popped pretty quickly but can last all game.
2 -
you can't even with me? you had to pretty up and talk a selfie with an emoji in post to make yourself feel better and get "internet points". im trying to say a real statement. How ruin is used in 80% of games, what about those 4 perks? Every player has atleast 1 of those 4 perks if not more. unless they're doing a meme build. say i'm wrong. Also, if Adrenaline is fine. then why do survivors complain about NOED? I can't with you 🤣
1 -
kill them before they complete all generators
0 -
I said it once and I will say it again, Corrupt is overrated and it does nothing to slow down the gens, it just makes people move from the corrupted gens to the unaffected ones.
4 -
Survivors complain about NOED because they can´t bend down and do bones. I know that was silly of me not getting my point but instead using meme. The problem with Adrenaline is not it being too OP but it being annoying. You know how spirit was mad annoying becuase she (and still) had no counter play? Adrenaline has the same problem
2 -
C I, Pop and old Ruin are a set.
0 -
ok, thank you for an actual reply. sorry for coming off hostile. I agree that there's no real counter to it, but after a long time of playing i figured something out. If your carrying a survivor when the final gen pops. drop them before the hook. they'll stand up if they have adrenaline so you can hit them down, so then they're injured when they get off the hook. :)
0 -
That was great advice, like the best I´ve ever heard
4 -
you're welcome
0 -
yeah sorry for being C*unt
0 -
Its annoying, but not overpowered
1 -
It CAN, but it doesn't last most of the games
0 -
Hol up. ######### is wrong with DH?
0 -
I never used ruin as a killer, and I appreciate that being nerfed because as a survivor it bothered me a lot 🤣
2 -
Sooo survivors must go find hex totems but you can't find survivors?
2 -
Both adrenaline and Unbreakable are hit or miss perks.
There are times when the perks will be maximum annoyance, and times where the perks are irrelevant.
1 -
Spirit has counterplay. You gotta keep moving. Looping her is asking for death. If they nerf Spirit any further, it's best to delete her because than they'll be defeating the purpose of her power. Plus with the shadows nerf to her, you can hear phasing while in terror radious
0 -
By all means enjoy your long queue times, 3 minute matches, and bully simulator
0 -
Do you guys go to like a meeting where you go over a script? You literally see the same things in every topic about Ruin. At least come up with an argument.
0 -
I’ll say that legion will be stronger because of new ruin mostly because legion can put pressure in early game
0 -
New ruin is a buff 🤣🤣🤣 some of y'all are too much.
1 -
Damn you must be real bad if this happens to you often. Why are you chasing one survivor for the whole game? Sometimes you gotta let him go so that you can stop the other 3. That's on you.
0 -
We do come up with arguments. Then a survivor.exe kicks in
"80% of games it needed to happen, Just Pressure Gens, Gen speed isn't broken, Ruin is OP it needed to change, Get gud"
5 -
I think he did chase others but in the discription that could not be the less descriptive.
0 -
Well since survivors have been begging for more objectives to do i would say yes?
0 -
My Plague would disagree with you. Slap in Dying Light, and you have incredibly slowdown. If you manage the hooks, of course.
0 -
Adrenaline is situational, and only rewards you for doing your objective. You're basically playing 95% of the match with 3 perks. Nothing is wrong with it.
0 -
2 out 18 can use thana well, great perk...
0 -
Isn't that the idea behind the perk? Force the Survivors into a smaller section/selection of generators so you can have an easier time going after them?
Also, regarding how CI only lasts two minutes, I think an argument can be made it's a RELIABLE 2 minutes. Nobody's going to find the Hex Totem near instantly and get rid of it, which is a complaint I often see lobbed at Hex perks. Corrupt Intervention works for its time limit, which you can take advantage of without worrying about losing the effect early. Granted, there's the flip side of that of a Totem not getting cleansed and giving you its effect all game, so it's on the killer if reliable early pressure beats potentially longer but less certain pressure.
0 -
The problem with Corrupt Intervention is that it's on a timer. CI doesn't force the survivors to do anything to make it go away. Survivors have no time pressure, so they don't have to work on gens while CI is active: they can stealth around the outskirts of the map, doing nothing, and it doesn't matter. Killers can't go searching around the outskirts of the map, because they can't risk the open gens being worked on in the meantime.
Corrupt Intervention is only good for trap killers who need set-up time. They can benefit from two extra minutes in the game where the survivors do nothing. For other killers, that's just two minutes of boredom where they don't gain any ground.
0 -
I haven't had luck with Corrupt on my Trapper. Due to the scattered nature of his traps, and map size, you usually need to go to the other side of the map to get two or three traps, and by then, corrupt is nearly over. Personally, I want them to get the far gens done. While they're doing two or three, I can set up around the three closest. By the time those pop, I'm ready.
0 -
The problem I have is that they're making these changes and not acknowledging at all the core issues of gen speed or at the very least map size/design.
All the Ruin nerf does is make everyone switch to Corrupt Intervention if you're not Nurse/Billy/Freddy. The reason people ran Ruin was for the ability to have setup/time to apply pressure before 3 gens popped instantly.
I'm sorry, but whether it's Ruin/CI, or even Pop, it will not change the fact there is a core flaw with this game. Saying "Just use Corrupt" does not change that fact.
And for the record I think CI is a worse perk than Ruin in every aspect. It does help with large maps, it does help with HOPEFULLY finding a non-entire team of immersed players and getting into a chase to apply pressure, but at the end of the day it's still a "Walk 10 ft to another gen" perk, and when the other 3 survivors don't have to fight through Ruin? Not to mention CI is also only 120sec, too. It's the kind of perk that should be built into the game considering map sizes.
0 -
A lot of "the killer side" was complaining how ruin would always pop instantly. So the same people are complaining that a perk which allowed them to have three perks the entire match got nerfed? This neo-ruin has a lot of potential with al ot of builds.
0 -
Except that the killer can still chase only 1 survivor at a time, while the other 3 do gens without any penalty, plus, Corrupt Intervention most of the time makes survivors spread out, which usually guarantees you a bad gen set up in late game.
0 -
Ya see if they acknowledged that gen speeds are busted then i would be fine. The game is absolutely not fine without ruin. It was a small fix to a massive problem. Now that problem is even bigger.
0 -
Adrenalin is very situational most of the time its just a 5 second speed boost
Dead hard dont lunge
Ds just make them use it early game so they don't have it in the endgame
Bt go for the persom who unhookes
Unbreakable don't slug
