HEX: RUIN

A Hex with devastating effect on the generators.

  • Generators not being repaired always regress
  • Each remaining Dull and Hex Totem increases the regression speed by 40/45/50 %, up to a maximum of 300/325/350 % of normal regression speed

The Hex persists as long as at least one Dull or any Hex Totem is standing.


Some motivation to do bones so it now combines with NOED poorly. And it is a great replacement for old Ruin.

    This would make a combination of 2 Hex perks very weak since survivors will find them, no matter what. The totem placements are not hard to find. It would definitely improve the changes to Ruin but I am not sure if such a change would be healthy for the game.

    Why not just have it so that there is a slow down to gens while ruin is active in addition to auto-regression ability (25/32.5/50%)? It would provide the slow down early game that killers need, while taking away the 'annoyance' to new survivors who won't need to hit great skill checks anymore. It will also rely less on RNG than the old ruin because skill check appearance is random. It will also be more effective against high rank survivors who hit great skill checks anyway.

    Powerful enough to warrant it being a hex perk, while no longer 'frustrating' for new survivors.
